Medical Coding School Registration Packet

Medical coding training course teach the fundamentals of medical coding, prepares the student for certification and helps establish a career in the medical coding industry.

Classes are scheduled to begin on April 27, 2013

 Registration for the classes/seminars will be based on a first come first serve basis.

Professional Medical Coder’s Institute does not guarantee job placement or tuition assistance/

reimbursement by your employer upon successful completion of the CPC or CPC-A exam course. Pre-requisites are required for the CPC course to include basic anatomy, medical terminology

and/or basic coding concept. CPC-Apprentice certification is offered to those who successfully pass the examination but do not have 2 years of medical field experience. Schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances however; all classes will be instructed before taking final examination.

Flexible Payment

CPC Applicants

A 12-week class has been prepared for the experienced professional in preparation of the certification test administered by the American Academy of Professional Coders. Upon successful completion of the course and a passing score on the certification exam, a diploma will be issued to certify you as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC)!

Established Certified Professional Coders

Each week a new seminar-format class will refresh the coding skill for the established Certified Professional Coder. Upon completion of each seminar, the established CPC will earn up to 4 CEUs (continuing education units)

Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice

For the professional without hands-on billing, coding, or clinical experience, the course also prepares you for the Certified Professional Coder- Apprentice. Upon successful completion of the course and a passing score on the certification examination, a diploma will be issued to certify you as a Certified Professional Coder- Apprentice (CPC-A)!

*See details, pre-requisites and requirements on page 2. Final week will consist of

completing the 5-hour examination, which is the 13th week!

TUITION/FEES for the full-time PMCC Student:

Course Tuition is $1950.00 for the complete course curriculum

Includes:

 Instruction by Certified Professional Coder(s) licensed and/or certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders

 Intensive (12) weeks curriculum  Official AAPC Student Workbooks  AAPC Student Membership

 One year subscription to the Coding Edge Magazine  Handouts

 CPC, CPC-H or CPC-A Official Examination (administered the 19th week) TUITION/FEES Evaluation & Mgmt Auditing Workshop Participant:

Course Tuition is $149.00 per seminar/class. Includes:

 Instruction by Certified Professional Coder(s) licensed and approved by the AAPC

 Class exercises and active participation

 PowerPoint lecture presentation handout. Please bring your 2013 CPT book.  Handouts/ coding tools applicable to each specialty course

PMCC Students must provide the following books and information prior to first class and Seminar Registrants are encouraged to bring the current coding books listed below:

 Current Medical Dictionary (optional)

 Call PMCI for discount before ordering coding books!

 Two letters of recommendation addressing your qualifications related coding experience, professional demeanor and work ethics. Colleagues, physicians, or supervisors may submit letter. (Letter may not be submitted via email.)

 CPC or CPC-A Certification Application ***  Complete exam order form ***

 Membership with the AAPC ***

*** Forms will be distributed on the first day of class. Two letters of recommendation applies to the PMCC (CPC or CPC-A) student.

All tuition must be received at least 3 weeks prior to the last scheduled session. A deposit of $400.00 must accompany your application for the full-time PMCC course registrants (CPC/ CPC-A 12-week course only). Fees may be paid by cash, check, money order, or payment plan. Returned checks, for any reason, are subject to a $25.00 returned check fee. *Payment plan options listed towards the end of this document and represent acceptable terms for payment options (applicable to CPC, CPC-A students only and after $400.00 deposit). Upon receipt of initial deposit, an information packet will be mailed to you for completion prior to the first scheduled class.A workshop fee of $149.00 is due in full for seminar-style participants at time of registration.
