C&I Small Business Direct Install Program (Electric &

Gas)-Franklin Energy works directly with equipment contractors to standardize pricing and procedures, provide tools and advance training on the SBDI program, and improve

customer satisfaction. The SBDI program process begins with a site survey completed by program staff for eligible customers currently billed under electric Rates 620, 621, 622 or 623 with a billed demand less than 200kW. Eligible natural gas customers are those currently billed under natural gas Rates 421 or 425.

C&I School Audit Direct Install (Electric)-

The School Audit Direct Install Program provides walk through energy assessments for eligible school customers and direct install measures, including vending machine controllers, CFL lamps, occupancy sensing power strips, lighting occupancy sensors, and LED EXIT signs.

Eligible buildings include K-12 schools, both public and private, that are greater than ten (10) years old and are currently billed under electric Rates 623 or 624. This program is marketed slightly different because the schools are selected by the Major Accounts Management staff.

Home Audit and Weatherization (Electric & Gas)-

Energy assessment takes place, along with direct installation of energy savings measures (CFLs, LEDs, hot water pipe wrap, etc.) and a follow up appointment is scheduled for the weatherization services (Assessment is required before any weatherization measures will be completed).

Elementary Education (Electric & Gas)-

The NIPSCO Elementary Education Program goal is to deliver cost-effective gas and electric savings by influencing 5th grade students and their families to focus on conservation and the efficient use of electricity and natural gas. Kit contains: CFLs, LEDs, kitchen and bathroom aerators, flow rate test bag, digital thermometer and showerhead.

Energy Efficiency Rebate (Electric & Gas)-

The Energy Efficiency Rebate Program will increase demand for energy efficient products through cash-back rebates designed to cover a portion of the incremental cost to upgrade to efficient technologies. In addition, the program will educate customers about the energy saving and non-energy benefits associated with efficient HVAC, insulation, air sealing & duct sealing and self-install products that reduce energy consumption.
