SIRI VILLAGE  INTRODUCTION: 

The village of Siri is situated in the interior of Vitilevu, about 20km from Nadi Town. Siri village is the  main chiefly village in this area and surrounding it are 3 small villages (Basa, Nasa, Yavusa Village), and 5  settlements (Nata, Kalau, Navu, Koro, & Tovata Settlements). The chief leaves in the main Village (Siri). 

All village functions are done in the chiefly village and people in the surrounding villages and settlements  they all convene in the chiefly village whenever there is a function.  

It has a very rich land scape and commercial farming is their main source of income. Road access is good  but dangerous during flooding. Primary school is about 1 kilometre away from the main village and the  nursing station is next to the Primary school. Secondary school students are boarded in Nadi Town and  come to the village on Fridays. They do have a church and everybody attends this Methodist church.
