Welcome

Welcome to J.P. Morgan ACCESSSM Cash Reporting Scheduler. This is a client

application that you install on your local computer. It enables you to automate the retrieval, storage and printing of J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Balances and Transactions reports in an unattended mode according to a preset schedule.

The Cash Reporting Scheduler works in tandem with the J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Balances and Transactions application. You can save and schedule reports to which you are entitled using the existing “Save a Report” functionality in J.P. Morgan ACCESS. You can then create a polling schedule and select reports to download and save in the client side Cash Reporting Scheduler. Online reports in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format can also be selected for automatic printing on download.

Features

Security

The Cash Reporting Scheduler has two levels of

security. Each user must be entitled by a Security

Administrator to use the Scheduler. In addition, the

user must create a digital certificate and submit it

to the Bank.

Installation

The Cash Reporting Scheduler client application is

easy to install using an

installation wizard

. It can be

installed as an Application or a Service.

Internet Connection

The Cash Reporting Scheduler will try to set up

your internet connection by automatically detecting

your proxy server and firewall settings, or you can

configure the connection manually based on your

environment.

Schedule Polling for Saved Reports

Use the Configure Scheduler tab to set a customized daily or weekly schedule to poll Cash Balances and

Transactions for available reports and export files that can be downloaded in unattended mode.

Note: If you have installed Cash Reporting Scheduler as an Application on your PC, be sure that your computer is in a logged on mode and Cash Reporting Scheduler is running during the hours when downloading of reports is scheduled.

Configure Storage and Printer Options

Designate a destination folder for storing reports and export files that are automatically downloaded from Cash Balances and Transactions, and select a printer to auto-print online reports in Adobe® Acrobat® (PDF) format.

Download and Auto-print Reports

All reports that are saved and scheduled in Cash Balances and Transactions are available for polling by the Cash Reporting Scheduler. Online reports in Adobe® Acrobat® (PDF) format are also available for the Auto-print option on the Manage Auto-Print Reports tab.

Note: Do not turn off your printer if you want Cash Reporting Scheduler to auto-print reports after work hours.

Manage Certificates Before you can use the Cash Reporting Scheduler, you must submit a certificate for authentication by the Bank. The Manage Certificates tab enables you to create, activate, deactivate, delete or revoke certificates as needed.

View Log The Cash Reporting Scheduler provides log files that record the downloading and printing of reports, as well as other operations of the Scheduler.

Email Notification Configure Cash Reporting Scheduler to automatically email a file that has successfully been downloaded; send email alerts when a report is successfully downloaded or when a polling session fails to download all reports. Post Processing After downloading a file, configure Cash Reporting

Scheduler to automatically process reports/files to another application.

Entitlements

To use the Cash Reporting Scheduler, the user requires a separate J.P. Morgan ACCESSSM entitlement. Your Security Administrator (SA) grants the entitlement that

allows you to create a polling schedule and download and print reports using the Cash Reporting Scheduler.

For additional security, you will be required to submit and maintain an active digital certificate that is approved by the Bank. Instructions for managing certificates are included in this guide.

Getting Started

2

J.P. Morgan ACCESSSM Cash Reporting Scheduler is a desktop application that you

can install and run from your computer. The application regularly polls J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Balances and Transactions according to a schedule you set, looking for saved reports that are available to be downloaded and printed in unattended mode. This chapter describes the steps that will get you up and running with the J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler.

Step 1: Install Cash Reporting Scheduler.

Step 2: Create a digital certificate for authentication. Your Security Administrator will send it to the Bank for approval.

Step 3: When it is approved, activate the certificate in Cash Reporting Scheduler. Step 4: Set a polling schedule.

Step 5: Specify a destination folder and printer, and test your Internet connection. Step 6: If desired, set up Event Notification and Post Processing.

Step 7: Save reports in J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Balances and Transactions with the Use Cash Reporting Scheduler option selected; create a schedule for running reports that is consistent with the polling schedule in Cash Reporting

Scheduler.

When you have completed these steps, you can begin using the J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler.

Prerequisites

Before you start using JPMorgan ACCESSSM Cash Reporting Scheduler, you should make sure you have the following:

• An account (or accounts) on the JPMorgan ACCESSSM portal with entitlements for both Cash Balances and Transactions reports and Cash Reporting

Scheduler.

• An Internet connection: Proxy credentials may be required for accessing the Internet through your corporate firewall. Cash Reporting Scheduler will try to automatically detect and use your browser's proxy settings. Please consult your network administrator if you do not know your proxy settings. If you use a dial-up or VPN Internet connection, you must make sure the Internet connection is established before running Cash Reporting Scheduler. • A Windows operating system with the following minimum configuration:

o Microsoft® Windows® XP (SP1) or higher Operating System o Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 6.0

o 256MB RAM, 150MB disk space o Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® 6.0 or 7.0

Note: Please ensure that the executable java.exe and CashReportingScheduler.exe are not blocked by your anti-virus software or any other software.

Cash Reporting Scheduler Entitlement

Your Security Administrator (SA) grants the entitlement to use the Cash Reporting Scheduler. This entitlement is in addition to the digital certificates you create and validate with the Bank.

To be eligible to use the Cash Reporting Scheduler, you must also be entitled to create, save and schedule various reports in J.P. Morgan ACCESSSM Cash Balances and

Transactions. These entitlements are granted by your SA.

Note: Only reports that are saved and scheduled in Cash Balances and Transactions with the Use Cash Reporting Scheduler option enabled are eligible for

downloading by the Cash Reporting Scheduler.

Installing Cash Reporting Scheduler

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler 2.0 may be installed in two ways. The Installation wizard lets you choose Install as a Service or Install as an Application (Standard Installation).

Note: You may require Administrative rights on your workstation in order to install Cash Reporting Scheduler. Please confirm by contacting the system

administrator at your company.

Standard Installation

Standard installation of Cash Reporting Scheduler launches the Web application. The user must log on to the application before using it. Because Cash Reporting Scheduler is running under the logged-on user’s privileges, it has access to the user’s network drives and devices. This access sets the conditions for Cash Reporting Scheduler functionality, such as the locations for post processing files, download destination, certificates and printers. Cash Reporting Scheduler can print the PDF reports using network printers.

With Standard Installation, services such as Database Service and Scheduler service are not started. Cash Reporting Scheduler relies on the availability of Windows Scheduler.

(10)

Installation as a Service

When Cash Reporting Scheduler is installed as a Windows Service, the user interface and all services are activated. Database Service and Scheduler Service are launched. As a service, Cash Reporting Scheduler does not require user logon. The service is listed in System Services as CRS Service. It runs as System User and operates with System User privileges; therefore, network resources are not accessible for post processing files, download destination, certificates and printers.

In Service mode, Cash Reporting Scheduler cannot print the PDF reports using network printers; only local printers are accessible.

To start or stop the service: 1. Click Start | Run.

(11)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide 3. When the Services panel appears, select CRS Service from the list of local

services on the Extended tab.

4. Click Stop the Service or Restart the Service.

If you are a first-time user, Cash Reporting Scheduler will notify you to create a new certificate.

Creating Your First Certificate

After installing the Cash Reporting Scheduler, you will need a digital certificate approved by the Bank. Using certificates for authentication protects against impersonation of the entitled user.

The New Certificate Wizard will walk you through the process of creating a new certificate that you will send to your Security Administrator (SA), who is authorized to accept it and send it to the Bank for approval.

To create a certificate:

(16)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide 2. The Manage Certificates tab appears if you are a first-time user.

(17)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide 3. Select Create New Certificate to open the certificate information screen.

4. Enter information in the following required fields:

• ACCESS ID/GAID: Enter your J.P. Morgan ACCESS ID or GAID. • GID: This ID is also known as the Reference #. You can log on to J.P.

Morgan ACCESS, and then click the Profile tab to view your Reference #. Your SA can also provide your GID, if necessary.

• Create a Password: Enter a password using any number of alpha/numeric characters.

• Reenter Password: Reenter the password. Notes:

o This password is unique to the certificate. It is not your J.P. Morgan ACCESS password.

o You will always use the password associated with the active certificate to log on to the Cash Reporting Scheduler. Be sure to save the password in a secure location. If you forget your password, you must follow the prompts from the logon screen to revoke the active certificate and activate a new one. See If You Forget Your Password.

o The password does not expire until the certificate expires or is revoked.

• Customer Name: Enter the name of your company. • User’s First and Last Name: Enter your name.

• User’s Work Address 1: Enter the street address of your workplace.

(18)

• User’s Work Address 2 (optional): Enter additional address information, if needed.

• City: Enter the city where your workplace is located.

• State/Province: Enter the state where your workplace is located. If you are located outside the U.S. and Canada, enter “n/a”.

• Country: Enter the country in which you are located. • Postal Code: Enter the Postal/Zip Code of your workplace.

• User Phone Number: Enter your work phone number and extension, if needed.

• User Email Address: Enter your email address at work.

5. Destination Folder—Click Browse and select a folder to store the Zip file containing your certificate information.

Note: You are responsible for saving the files for all certificates you create. When you create a new certificate, always assign a unique filename so that you do not overwrite existing certificate information.

6. The Valid From and To date fields at the bottom of the screen are filled automatically to generate a two-year certificate beginning on today’s date. You may modify the end date, but the term of the certificate cannot exceed two years. One month before your current certificate expires, the Scheduler will note this in the log file and the days remaining will be visible in the Polling Tools box. 7. (Optional) Enter the name of your Security Administrator (SA) in the Will Be

Submitted By fields. If you do not know which SA will submit your certificate request, leave this field blank.

8. Click Next to review the certificate request. To modify information, click Back and make the changes.

(19)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide A report in Adobe® Acrobat® (PDF) format opens in Windows Explorer. This report is located in the CertificateExport.zip file that Scheduler puts in the folder you designated for storing your certificate. The Zip file contains files with .csv and .cer extensions, as well as the PDF of your certificate information.

10.

It is your responsibility to email the Zip file to your Security Administrator. The SA will print, sign and date the certificate request report (PDF) that is located in the Zip file. The SA must then perform the following two steps before the Bank can process and approve the digital certificate:

• Print, sign and date the certificate and send as fax/scanned copy to: J.P. Morgan

IMSD Security Operations

FAX: 813-649-8367; Email: [email protected] • Send an email with the Zip file attached to:

[email protected]

Activate Your Certificate

When your SA notifies you that your digital certificate has been approved, you can open the Cash Reporting Scheduler and activate the certificate.

1. Open the Cash Reporting Scheduler application and select the Manage Certificates tab. Your certificate will appear in the table with a status of Generated.

2. Select the certificate. If you would like to review the certificate, click the View button.

3. Click the Activate button to activate the certificate.

You are now authorized to schedule polling on the Cash Reporting Scheduler to automatically download and print reports in unattended mode. The Configure

Scheduler and Manage Auto-Print Reports now appear with the Manage Certificates

and View Log tabs on the J.P. Morgan ACCESSSM Cash Reporting Scheduler window.

Configuring a Polling Schedule

Use the Configure Scheduler tab to designate specific times and frequencies when the Cash Reporting Scheduler will poll J.P. Morgan ACCESSSM for reports that were saved

and scheduled to run in Cash Balances and Transactions. Notes:

• All times that you enter in the schedule will be in your local time. If you modify the date/time on your computer, the changes will affect

Cash Reporting

Scheduler polling times and certificate expiration dates.

• If you schedule polling to occur after work hours:

o When running Cash Reporting Scheduler as an Application, your computer will need to remain on and the Cash Reporting Scheduler application open in order to download reports.

o When running Cash Reporting Scheduler as a Service, the CRS Service will need to continue to run in Windows in order to download reports.

(21)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide To configure the polling schedule:

1. Select the Configure Scheduler tab.

2. Enter information in the following fields to set the polling schedule: • Polling Schedule: Polling is enabled by default. When you select

Disable, the polling pauses without resetting the polling configuration. If polling is in progress, you will receive a warning message with the option to stop the polling.

• Frequency: Select Daily to enable daily-specific options on the Configure

Scheduler tab. Select Weekly for weekly-specific options.

3. If you selected Daily frequency, enter information in the following daily-specific fields:

• Start Date: Click the drop-down arrow and select a date from the calendar.

• Run Every: Select one or more days on which you want polling to take place.

• Starting (required): Select a local start time in hours and minutes from the drop-down lists and indicate if the time is AM or PM.

(22)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide • Continuing Every: Select the polling interval in hours and minutes from

the drop-down lists. The minimum interval is 30 minutes.

• Ending (required): Select a local end time in hours and minutes from the drop-down lists and indicate if the time is AM or PM.

Note: The Ending time must correspond to the completion of a full interval. For example, if the Starting time is 9:00 am and the interval is 1 hour 30 minutes, the Ending time could be 10:30 am, noon, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm and so on.

4. If you selected Weekly frequency, complete the following weekly-specific fields:

• Start Date: Click the drop-down arrow and select a date from the calendar. • Run Every: Select the number of week(s) between polling sessions. For

example, Cash Reporting Scheduler can poll for reports every week, every two weeks, or every three weeks on selected days.

• Check one or more days of the week on which you want polling to take place. • At: Select a local run time in hours and minutes from the drop-down lists

and indicate if the time is AM or PM.

• Until: Select No End Date or select End On and click the drop-down arrow and select a date from the calendar.

5. Check Rerun Poll on Failure to enable repeated attempts of your daily or weekly polling in case of failure.

Enter the number of minutes to wait after a failure before rerunning the poll. The value you select from the After Failure drop-down determines how many times the current poll will be rerun before defaulting to the next scheduled time or date. For example, if you select Twice, the poll will be rerun after the first and second failures, but not after a third failure.

The first time you set a polling schedule after activating your certificate, you cannot begin a polling session until you set a download destination folder and printer and test your Internet connection. If necessary, in future sessions you can change these settings by selecting the check box for Add/Modify Download Destinations, Add/Modify Proxy and Connection or Add/Modify Event Notification options on the Configure Scheduler tab, and then select the Modify button.

Setting Download Destination, Printer and Proxy Settings

If you are using Cash Reporting Scheduler for the first time, the only button that is enabled on the Configure Scheduler tab is Next.

Click Next to open the Add/Modify Download Destinations and Add/Modify Proxy and Connection panels to set your storage, printer and internet settings.

(23)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide

Add/Modify Download Destinations

1. Enter the following information in the Download Destinations dialog box: • Storage Location: Click Browse and select a folder for storing

downloaded reports from Cash Balances and Transactions. Within this Reports folder, for each downloaded report Scheduler will create a folder with the report name specified in Cash Balances and Transactions, for example, “Balance_Report_crs”.

Note: When Cash Reporting Scheduler is installed as a Service, the Download Destination location can only be a local drive. Network or mapped drives cannot be accessed.

• Printer 1: Select a primary printer. If you select Default, the Cash Reporting Scheduler will send reports to the default printer on your computer. If you plan to auto-print lengthy reports frequently, you may want to select a different printer.

• Printer 2 (optional): Select a backup printer that the Scheduler will use when your primary printer is not available.

Note: When installed as a Service, only local printers are supported. 2. Click Next to open the Proxy Settings dialog box and test your Internet

connection.

• Under Manual Configuration:

o Click the Detect Browser Settings button. Cash Reporting Scheduler will attempt to detect the Internet Explorer® registry settings for your company’s proxy server. If values appear in the Proxy Server and Proxy Port fields, select Test Internet

Connection to validate the settings.

o If the fields are not populated automatically, you can manually enter values and then test the connection. Enter an IP address or server name in the Proxy Server field. Proxy Port will be a number, for example, 8080. Proxy Protocol should be HTTP(S) or SOCKS to enable navigation to the Internet.

Note: If you do not know your proxy settings, you can check the settings on your browser. From the Tools menu on your Internet Explorer, click Internet Options | Connections | LAN Settings, or contact your Network Administrator.

(26)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide • Enter Proxy Authorization settings, if needed. These settings may be

automatically detected. If you know that your company requires users to log onto a locked directory (Realm) with a User Name and Password to go to the Internet, contact your Network Administrator for logon information.

You cannot proceed until the Internet connection is tested successfully.

3. Click Finish to return to the Configure Scheduler tab. 4. Click Start Polling to save the polling schedule.

Confirmation Message

When you select Start Polling, you will see a confirmation screen.

(28)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide

Notes:

• Reports that are saved with the Cash Reporting Scheduler option selected are displayed on the My Saved Reports tab with an asterisk (*) after the report name. However, this asterisk does not appear when the report is shown on the View Status/History tab. Therefore, we recommend that you add an identifier to the filename when you save the report to indicate that it will be retrieved and printed by the Cash Reporting Scheduler. In this example, we have added _crs to the filename.

• Do not use the following characters in report names: \ / : * ? “< > |. Cash Reporting Scheduler cannot create a folder with a report name containing these characters. The report will be downloaded and placed in the Report_Name_Unknown folder in the downloaded reports folder. 7. Click Save. The report now appears on the My Saved Reports tab.

8. Click the Create button associated with the report. The Schedule Details screen appears.

Note: A report must be scheduled to run in Cash Balances and Transactions before it can be downloaded and printed in unattended mode by the Cash Reporting Scheduler.

(29)

9. Set a schedule to run the report daily or weekly on selected days. Each time the report is run, it is placed in your View Status/History tab, where it will remain for three days.

Note: For timely downloads, set your polling schedule to occur 5 minutes after reports are scheduled to run in Cash Balances and Transactions. When coordinating schedules, please note that Cash Reporting Scheduler uses the computer’s local time, while all times in J.P. Morgan ACCESS are in Eastern Time (GMT–5).

Now you are ready to work with the Cash Reporting Scheduler.

Managing Auto-Print Reports

Use this tab to manage the printing of online reports in Adobe® Acrobat® (PDF) format that you saved and scheduled using the Use Cash Reporting Scheduler option in Cash Balances and Transactions. The tab displays a list of downloaded online reports and the date and time they were received by the Cash Reporting Scheduler. The first time a report is received by Cash Reporting Scheduler, it appears in the list highlighted in yellow. After subsequent polls, the same report is added to the list but it is not marked in yellow as a new addition.

To auto-print a report on the next download, select the checkbox in the Auto-Print Next Download column. Cash Reporting Scheduler will send the reports to the printer you selected in Download Destinations and Printer.

• Open Reports Folder—Select this button to open the downloaded reports folder to view all online reports and export files. You can open a report and view it before deciding if you want to print it.

Notes:

• If you have installed Cash Reporting Scheduler as an application on your PC and you schedule reports for auto-printing after work hours, do not turn off your computer and printer when you leave. Only online reports in Adobe® Acrobat® (PDF)format appear on the Manage Auto-Print Reports tab. Export files are downloaded but are not available for the Auto-print option. You can locate export files by selecting the Open Reports Folder button and manually print files, if desired.

• If a .PDF report will be moved to a new location during Post Processing, Auto-Print cannot be executed on the report.

Post Download Processing

When files or reports have been fully and successfully downloaded, post processing can be established. With the post processing functionality, an external batch process can be started which in turn can trigger:

• Import programs • File conversion routines

• Export files and/or reports to a treasury workstation or other financial application

Note: Cash Reporting Scheduler will only trigger the batch processing job. The success/failure for underlying routines/programs will not be the responsibility of the Cash Reporting Scheduler application.

To set up Post Processing:

1. From the Manage Auto-Print Reports tab or the Manage Files tab, select the report/file for post processing and click Post Processing.

2. To select the executable which is to be run after successful download of a report, click Browse.

3. When the executable has been identified, click Finish. The following file extensions can be executed:

• .bat • .exe • .vbs

You must select the location of the post processing application for each downloaded report/file.

Managing Certificates

Certificates provide secure access to report data. You cannot receive reports from the Cash Reporting Scheduler without a valid certificate. When you install the application, you create an initial certificate. A certificate can have a maximum duration of two years. Polling Tools will tell you how many days remain before your current certificate expires.

Create a New Certificate

You can initiate the certificate creation process from the Manage Certificates tab in the Cash Reporting Scheduler window. For detailed instructions, see Chapter 2, Creating Your First Certificate.

To manage your certificates:

1. To view your current certificates, select the Manage Certificates tab.

This screen displays a list of your existing certificates with the creation date, the status, and the date when the certificate was last modified. The table is sorted by creation date. You can sort any column in ascending/descending order by clicking the column heading.

Certificates can have the following status:

• Generated: the certificate is newly generated and available to be activated.

• Active: the certificate is currently activated.

• Inactive: the certificate is not being used but is available to be activated.

(41)

J.P. Morgan ACCESS Cash Reporting Scheduler User Guide

Features and Functions Page 40

• Revoked: the certificate has been revoked because of insufficient or incorrect user information and cannot be used.

• Expired: the certificate has exceeded the time period allowed and is no longer valid.

• Deleted: the certificate was first revoked or expired and then deleted. After deletion it will be removed from the list after a specified number of days, corresponding to the number of days that log files are retained (the default is 15). See Viewing Logs.

2. After selecting a certificate in the Certificates table, use the action buttons to: • View the user information for the certificate.

• Activate the certificate. This button is enabled when the selected certificate has the current status of Generated or Inactive.

Only one certificate may be active. When you select a certificate and click Activate, the Scheduler checks to see if another certificate is already active. If so, you will be asked if you want to retain the currently active certificate or activate the new one. If you choose to activate the new certificate, the existing certificate’s status will automatically change to Inactive.

Note: Whether you activate an existing Generated or Inactive certificate or create and activate a new one, you must send the certificate information to the Bank to be processed. If you log on to Cash Reporting Scheduler with an active certificate that has not been approved by the Bank, Scheduler cannot authenticate with J.P. Morgan ACCESSSM and polling will not occur.

• Deactivate the certificate. This button is enabled when the selected certificate has the current status of Generated or Active. When you deactivate a certificate, there must be another certificate that has

Generated status that can be activated; polling will fail if there is no active certificate. The Scheduler checks to see if there is one or more certificates that can be activated. You can then replace the certificate that is being deactivated with another certificate that is available to be activated. • Delete the certificate. This button is enabled when the status of

the selected certificate is Revoked or Expired. After deletion it will be removed from the list after a specified number of days, corresponding to the number of days that log files are retained (the default is 15). See

Viewing Logs.

file name to avoid duplication. We recommend that you include Revoke in the file name to distinguish the file from certificate requests.

You will need this file to complete the process of revoking the certificate. 5. A revoked certificate must be processed by the Bank. You must locate the

revoked certificate zip file and send it to your SA, who will forward the certificate revocation report to:

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know my banking data will be safe from hackers on the Web? The Cash Reporting Scheduler has security features to help prevent financial data from being revealed to anyone but the account holder. First, Scheduler logs onto J.P. Morgan ACCESSSM using a 128 bit encrypted HTTPS connection. Second, Scheduler issues a

digital certificate in your name that the Bank uses to validate the identity of anyone asking for your banking data.

What is a digital certificate?

A digital certificate is a unique key that you use to enter your “mailbox” for data and reports at the Bank. You give one half of the key to the Bank so they can validate you. You are the only person that holds the other half that is necessary to complete the key and unlock the “mailbox.”

What if my computer reboots while I am away?

Cash Reporting Scheduler is a user application designed to be started by the user. You will need to restart Cash Reporting Scheduler if a Windows update or a power outage causes your computer to restart.

Troubleshooting Errors

Save error—This error occurs when Scheduler attempts to save files to the designated storage destination and the folder was deleted or the directory was unavailable.

Network error—This error occurs if the Internet is unavailable when Scheduler attempts to retrieve files from the Bank. This may result from three conditions: your internet connection is down, your corporate firewall is down, or your proxy credentials have expired.

Print error—This error occurs if both your primary and secondary printers are

unavailable when Scheduler attempts to auto-print downloaded reports from the Bank. When this occurs, the report is saved by Scheduler so that you can print it when a printer becomes available.
