How do we get paid and how often?
We will send your sales less our fee weekly via ACH direct to your account. Our week is Monday through Sunday; funds usually settle on Tuesday.
How secure is the cred card information?
The credit card number is securely sent directly to a PCI compliant processor without ever going through our servers. We store only a token, never the actually number. Processing is done by a PCI Level 1 compliant vendor.
Can someone hack payment to the machine?
Payment authorizations can only be sent by our server and are encrypted with a secret key known only to the device. The app cannot create or alter the
authorizations.
What if there are more than one machine in a
bank? Or more than one person at the machine?
Our system is designed to work when there are multiple machines and multiple users. On the app, each machine in range will appear and the user can easily swipe to another.
What if the firmware needs updating?
The devices will update automatically through the App.
Can I install on a machine that already has a card
reader?
Some machines support two “cashless payment devices”. In those machines, our device will
automatically assume the second cashless address and work seamlessly.
Who hold’s the customer’s prepaid balances?
PayRange holds the customers’ money in a federally insured account.
Can the customer get a refund of their balance if
they request?
Yes, we will refund any customer their balance upon request.
Where can the customer user their prepaid
balance?
The balance can be used on any PayRange enabled machine.
How long is the contract and what is the minimum
order?
We know you’ll love it so we don’t require a contract. The minimum order is 12 devices.
Frequently asked questions
Does the PayRange device upload DEX?
PayRange is a payment solution and does not upload the machine’s DEX file. However, cash and cashless sales including column ID are available in real-time through our web portal.
What is the volume discount?
Our pricing is designed to be simple and transparent. We offer our best price to all customers whether the operator is buying 12 or 12,000 devices.
Can I get a better deal just going direct?
No, the price is the same. Vistar is the national distributor for PayRange and will be shipping the orders regardless of whether they are placed directly with PayRange or through your Vistar rep.
Can you provide us with a list of our users?
Due to user privacy, just like a credit card company won’t give you the contact details on the card users, PayRange cannot disclose the users’ private
information.
Can I add a 10-cent surcharge (two-tier pricing)?
Currently our system does not allow for applying a surcharge to mobile transactions.
