PUBLICATION OF ENGINEERS TRAINS IN POSSESSIONS

Any Engineers Train, Tamping machine or other on track plant working in a single stage Engineering Hours Possession, where there are no Special Current Arrangements, will be published along with its associated Possession Arrangements in Section E1 of the Engineering Notice, all other possessions will continue to be published in Sections E2 and E3.

TRANSFER OF 1996 TUBE STOCK

To enable the transfer of a 7 car 96TS train, protection staff are advised that the Track Access Controller will not book them onto the following traction current sections until the Controller has confirmed they are no longer required for train movements and that engineering hours can commence:

• Rayners Lane to Sudbury Hill eastbound • Sudbury Hill to Rayners Lane westbound.

Normal access arrangements will apply for all other traction current sections associated with the transfer of the 96TS train. E1 ENGINEER'S TRAINS TONIGHT

(e) Working at Site:

When the Possession Master has taken the Possession, uncouple as required and work to and fro under own power to the requirements of the Possession Master. On completion, recouple if required.

(f) Return paths Saturday

(i) When the Possession Master and Controller give authority, Trains 640 to 645 will pass out of the Possession on the westbound line, run in Controllers timings via Embankment to Earl's Court, run via the westbound local line to Acton Town, run via Rayners Lane to Ruislip siding, then run to Ruislip depot and stable.

The Site Person in Charge responsible for work published for Asbestos Exclusion Zones, Keep Clear Areas, Wheels Free or Areas where no other work that affects the integrity of the signalling can take place must ensure that the TAC incident desk receives confirmation, between 21:30 and 23:00, that the published work will be taking place on the shift concerned. If no confirmation is received by 23:00 TAC may disregard the restriction and other staff may be permitted to work within the affected area.

Contacting the signaller when passage of last train not witnessed

When contacting the signaller, because it has not been possible to witness the passage of the last train, protection staff must state the line, station, platform number and if known, the number of the last train.

Do NOT contact the signaller until after the published time for traction current to be switched off. Planned Connect Radio Outages

Please note throughout the week various radio cells/sections may be switched off for maintenance or planned upgrade works, following close of traffic. If you have planned works in these areas please ensure you have alternative communication processes in place. Following the discovery of discarded syringes in the area of Kings Cross disused station, staff are to be extra vigilant whilst passing through or undertaking works in that area.

If any such items are identified please ensure these are reported through the EIRF system and immediately advise your manager. Liverpool Street - Monitoring equipment

At Liverpool Street station, on the Circle & Hammersmith and Metropolitan lines and 200m into tunnels towards Aldgate, automated survey monitoring equipment is installed, fixed to the tunnel and track to monitor movement during construction works above. Please avoid touching this equipment, or obstructing in any way the barrel shaped prisms mounted low down on track and trackside - particularly their line of sight to the instruments hanging from the tunnel crowns. EMERGENCY CONTACT BETWEEN NOTTING HILL GATE AND BOUVERIE PLACE

Protection Masters working on the Traction Current Sections "Notting Hill Gate to Bouverie Place, both" should note the tunnel telephone lines (for emergency discharge of traction current) are controlled by the Metropolitan Service Controller at Baker Street. Staff working in this location should telephone 910 in the event of an emergency; this information should be entered in their log books.

At Victoria station, on the Victoria Line and District and Circle Line, through the platform limits and 200m into tunnels and sidings, London Underground have installed automated survey monitoring equipment fixed to the tunnel rings and track to monitor tunnel movement during the Victoria station Upgrade. In addition there are 3 instruments, mounted on podia in the Victoria line

crossovers. Please avoid touching this equipment, or obstructing in any way the barrel shaped prisms mounted low down in passenger circulation areas and trackside - particularly their line of sight to the instruments hanging from the tunnel crowns. The Signal Operator at Neasden Service Control Centre can be contacted on Auto 40879 to determine that the last "timetabled" train has passed through the area.

METROPOLITAN LINE

HARROW ON THE HILL TO WATFORD SOUTH JUNCTION, NB MAIN

Protection Masters working on the northbound main line between Harrow-on-the-Hill No. 1 platform and Watford South Junction must be aware of Chiltern Trains train movements when testing traction current.

Staff needing to access the track in this area (including platforms grounds) should ensure that they have made sufficient provision for lighting, torches etc., to enable their works to proceed safely.

Track Access Arrangements on the Aldwych Branch

During Engineering Hours (normally 23:00 to 06:00) requests for access to the track must be made to the Piccadilly Line East Track Access Controller. During Traffic Hours (normally 06:00 to 23:00) requests for access to the track, and for current to be switched on and off, should be made to the Piccadilly Line Service Controller. Full details of these arrangements are included in the Rule Book team Local/Network Operating Procedure publication "Aldwych Branch/Station Access Procedures"
