Apply online to NAU Undergraduate Admissions.
Submit your School of Nursing application to Extended Campuses (see page 4).
APPLICATION DEADLINES
NAU’s School of Nursing currently offers continuous admission to the RN to BSN program. Complete application packets are reviewed on a continual basis.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to verify that application documents have been received. Incomplete applications will not be considered for admission.
NOTICE OF ADMISSION
Students will be notified by mail of their admission status within 4 weeks of application
review.
The RN-BSN program builds on the knowledge and skills registered nurses have acquired through a diploma or associate degree program. It is designed to enable students to move into a wider array of practice and leadership roles, and be prepared for admission to graduate school.

Admission to the RN to BSN Program requires two applications:

Students should select in the application that they are seeking the Bachelor of Science degree in the nursing major. Official transcripts of all previous college credits must be submitted in order to be admitted as a degree seeking student. Please have your official transcripts sent to:

In the final semester fieldwork projects are most often completed in the areas of leadership and quality improvement. These can be found in various types of healthcare settings. RN students may complete these assignments with their employing agency.
In order to ensure that the NAU School of Nursing (SON) will be able to work with you (as an RN student), and the agency of your choice, please provide the name of the agency, address, phone number, and the name of the Chief Nursing Officer. If you are not employed as an RN, please supply the name of at least two agencies, to provide the SON the opportunity to make advance affiliation arrangements.
Required Documents
Copies of the documents below will be required to complete the registration process for NUR 442 and
NUR 450C/452.
Current RN license in the state where you will do your project. Indicate year that you were first licensed.
AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance (if original AZ RN license obtained before Jan. 1999).
Personal health insurance policy or identification.
Professional liability insurance.
Current CPR certification (Health Care Provider level).
Record of a general physical exam.
Current TB test results (within the last year).
Record of Hepatitis B series (3 inoculations OR titer).
Record of MMR immunizations or titer (2 inoculations OR titer).
Record of Varicella (chicken pox) immunity (2 inoculations or titer).
Record of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) within 10 years.
These documents must be renewed annually or upon expiration. It is your responsibility to maintain
current records and have copies mailed, emailed, or faxed to the School of Nursing.

A copy of all unofficial transcripts detailing previous coursework must accompany this application. If prerequisite courses are still in progress, proof of those must be included. Applicants are not required to submit transcripts for courses taken at NAU. Please mail official transcripts to: Extended Campuses, ATTN: RN-BSN Program P.O. Box 4117, Flagstaff, AZ 86011.
