Some of the teacher laptops may need an adapter. If so, the adapter will connect to the HDMI cable and plug into the laptop through the VGA port.
You will also need to plug in
the audio cable for sound.

Let’s talk connecting to your activpanel to the cpsb wifi...
Your ActivPanel should be connected to CPSB wireless, but that requires the panels to be registered.
If your panel will not connect to CPSB WIFI, then you should submit a Tech Help ticket to the Promethean workspace, and CPSB will verify that it has been registered.
You will need to provide the MAC address for the panel. Also, we need their name, school, room number and serial number of panel.

But What If I Want More Apps?
Your panel comes with Google Management
Services, which allows you access to the Google Play Store. The Play Store provides educators with a
plethora of educational apps.
It integrates with your Unified Menu so to get to the Play Store app or any additional apps you download you simply access your “locker” from the Unified
Menu.
To log in you will need to create a “personal professional” gmail account.

A Note about Screenshare
Remember that as long as you or another person has the ScreenShare code for your ActivPanel, sharing will work! That means that the
wirelessly shared device does not need to be on the same network as your ActivPanel. With this in mind, teachers can:
● Wirelessly share to ActivPanels even when not on campus
● Display virtual student-led instruction
● Select students at random from the waiting room
GBoard Keyboard as a Default Keyboard
Wishing you had a swift/swipe keyboard?
Perhaps you want to voice type instead of pressing key buttons? Try using the GBoard Keyboard as your default.
1. Download the GBoard Keyboard App to your ActivPanel.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Scroll down and select System Settings.
4. Select Languages and Input.
5. Select Default Keyboard and then choose Gboard as your keyboard.
Export Whiteboard Canvas As a PDF
Need to get your annotations from the
Whiteboard App to another computer or App?
Remember that your Whiteboard export
options will vary depending on the additional Apps you’ve downloaded to your locker.
1. To export to Google Classroom, make sure you have the Google Classroom App installed.
2. When you’re ready to export your
Whiteboard, click the three dots on the toolbar and choose your export option.
3. Select Google Classroom to instantly turn your whiteboard into a Material, Question, Assignment, or
Announcement.
Adding Websites to the ActivPanel Locker
Do you visit certain websites often? Have a
favorite classroom tool that isn’t available as an App? Save the website to your Locker!
1. Visit the website using the Chrome App.
2. Click the three dots at the top right, and then select Add to Home Screen.
Working with Existing Bookmarks in the Chrome App
Is your bookmark game already strong?
You can access those SAME Chrome bookmarks in the Chrome App on your ActivPanel.
1. Visit the website using the Chrome App.

right, and then select Add to Home Screen.
Screen Recording on the ActivPanel
Need to capture the action for later viewing?
Try installing a Screen Recorder App like ADV Screen Recorder. Remember that these Apps often float on your screen, so you may need to Force Quit them when not in use.
1. Download and install ADV Screen Recorder.
2. Open the App and click the + to start your first recording.
3. Click the floating recorder and choose the record button to start.
4. End the recording by selecting the stop button.
