➢ Northview Athletic Events have moved to Online Ticketing for all athletic events. It is very important
that you follow the athletic department on social media for links to purchase tickets. These links will be posted on the athletic website at www.northviewknightsathletics.com and will also be posted on
Twitter @knightsath and on Facebook at Northview Knights Athletics. Capacity limits for each event will be determined by the county color code for that week. If our county is in “Orange, Yellow or Blue,” links will be sent to parents and then made public to purchase the remaining tickets. It is also important that you follow these platforms for information on away events. Including spectator limits, as most schools in the WIC and others around the state have changed to online tickets.

Guidance

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a four-year member of the volleyball team (player or manager) and have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 Applications are available in the guidance office and are due April 16th.
➢ Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship
These applications are available in the guidance office. Qualifications for this scholarship are as followed: 1. Must be an Indiana Resident
2. All applicants must be committed to pursuing an education and career in la law enforcement field at and Indiana college.
3. All applicants must be a current member of the association, or a dependent or grandchild of a current member of the association.
4. All applicants must enroll as a full-time student ( 12 hours or more) Deadline is April 1; there will be (40) 750.00 scholarships awarded statewide
➢ Applications are Now Being Accepted for Wabash Valley Road Runners Student-Athlete Scholarship Program. Terre Haute, IN — Wabash Valley Road Runners (WVRR) Club is currently accepting
applications for the 2020-21 scholarship competition. WVRR awards two $1,000 scholarships each year to outstanding student athletes from the Wabash Valley. Applicants are evaluated based on their academic and athletic accomplishments, as well as the contributions they make to their schools and communities. The application deadline is March 26, 2021.
Applicants must be high school seniors, or full-time college students who are graduates from a high school in Vigo, Clay, Sullivan, Parke or Vermillion Counties in Indiana or Clark or Edgar counties in Illinois. High school applicants must be an active member of their high school cross country or track team participating in running events in their senior year and at least one other year or active members of a running club. College student applicants must have been an active member of the above mentioned high schools' cross country or track teams or an active member of a running club. Applicants must have a current grade point average of “C” or above and be a United States citizen.
Winners will be selected in April 2021 and will be recognized at their school’s awards
ceremony. Winners are also invited to participate in the Midnight River Run in Terre Haute in July 2021. A portion of the proceeds from this race helps fund the WVRR scholarships.

About Wabash Valley Road Runners
Wabash Valley Road Runners is a running and walking community club based in Terre Haute, Indiana. It hosts events, races, training, and joins with the community dedicated to
running/walking advocacy in the area. It is dedicated to helping motivate and support the local running/walking community to promote a healthy and better life.

➢ NANCY JAYNES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD APPLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust, Inc. (IBCAT) is currently accepting applications for the Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship of up to $2,500 for college or post-secondary technical schooling is awarded to an Indiana High School Senior(s) whose parent is battling breast cancer or who has lost a parent to breast cancer. Information on downloading the Scholarship Application guidelines and instructions are listed below. The Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship Award is named in honor of the founder of the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust, Nancy Jaynes. Nancy lost her battle with breast cancer in March 2008. A Plymouth (Indiana) High School Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, Nancy envisioned the breast cancer license plate to be a traveling billboard and reminder about the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer. The mission of the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust is to increase access to breast cancer screening and diagnosis throughout Indiana. To date, IBCAT has funded over $6 million in grants supporting our mission, plus an additional $90,000 in scholarships.

➢ The Hagan scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, designed to help high achieving students graduate debt-free. This scholarship provides up to $48,000 over four years to attend college. To qualify for a Hagan scholarship the recipient must:
1. Graduate from a public high school in a county having fewer than 50,000 residents. 2. Have a 3.75 GPA
3. Must be in the top 20 percent of class
4. Must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of each year of college. 5. FAFSA EFC must be less than 6,500

➢ Honey Creek Garden Club Scholarship-March 1, 2021. (Applications in Guidance Office)
The Honey Creek Garden Club awards a scholarship to a worthy student for assistance with his/her college expenses each year. We will award two scholarships. The club asks that the student meet the following qualifications:
1. Have a college major in horticulture, botany, environmental science, agriculture or a related field may be considered
2. Have a B grade average or above 3. Be of good character
4. Be a Vigo County resident or immediate surrounding counties in Indiana Students must send in the following information:
• Completed application
• A letter of personal introduction which explains the student’s life goals and how the scholarship
will benefit these goals.
• Letters of recommendation from the teacher and one other professional person who knows the
student personally
• Transcript of high school or college grades
➢ El Dabe Ritter Scholarship-$1500 Deadline of June 30, 2021

➢ The University of Evansville has launched the Aces Opportunity Grant to make our high-quality
education accessible to students who display the greatest financial need. Through the Aces Opportunity Grant, qualified freshmen entering in the fall of 2021 whose families earn less than $50,000 will pay no tuition out of pocket. UE will first combine the student’s UE Scholarships, Indiana State Grant Funding, and Federal Grant Funding. Any remaining gap between this combined amount and full-time tuition and full-time fees will be covered through an Aces Opportunity Grant. In this way, UE ensures the student will have no out of pocket tuition costs.
How It Will Work: 1. Apply online to UE

3. Apply for financial aid by filing your FAFSA by April 15, 2021

➢ Ceres Solution Scholarship
Have you been involved in four years of 4-H or at least 2 years in FFA? Ceres Solution is offering ten-$1,000 scholarships to high school seniors to help further their education. The scholarship application and eligibility requirements can be downloaded at www.ceres.coop. The completed application along with a required essay are due March 1st.

➢ Vincennes University Mathematics Education Scholarships- 1st place: $2500 2nd place: $1500 3rd
place: $1000 Scholarships to be awarded to new students enrolling as Mathematics Education majors at Vincennes University for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Scholarship Requirements: 1) Minimum SAT score 1100, including at least 550 in math, OR Minimum ACT composite score 22, including at least 23 in math, OR Accuplacer score placing student into MATH 118 Calculus with Analytic Geometry I Note: Accuplacer test can be taken at no charge to student; contact Program Coordinator for info 2) Reflective Essay on Virtual/Remote Learning and Teaching. One of the goals of the Vincennes University Mathematics Education program is for our preservice teachers and program graduates to become reflective practitioners. Teachers’ own experiences as mathematics learners profoundly influence their identity as teachers. In addition, effective teachers continually reflect on how their choices and practices influence their students as mathematics learners. During the Covid-19 pandemic, virtual/remote teaching and learning have taken center stage in
education. Use your own experiences to reflect on virtual/remote teaching and learning. Use these bullets to help guide your thinking as you write the essay. • Describe your personal experiences with virtual/remote learning. • Reflect on the advantages and disadvantages of virtual/remote learning. How has your own learning been impacted? • Describe, specifically, methods of virtual/remote learning that have been effective. Also, describe methods that have been ineffective. • If
virtual/remote learning were to become the norm, what could educators do to improve this mode of delivery? What could students do to become more successful? • Do you believe the pandemic will have long-term effects on education? If so, describe these effects. • Describe the skillsets you personally need to develop during your educator training to become an effective teacher in a virtual/remote environment. In addition, tell us more about yourself. • Explain why you decided to become a math teacher. What made you decide to be a teacher? Why teach math and not a different subject? • What do you expect your teaching will look like? What kind of math teacher would you like to be? Scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year is March 31, 2021. Winners will be notified by April 15, 2021. Scholarships are awarded for one academic year and are non-renewable. Scholarships are not based on financial need. Scholarship winners must have applied and been accepted to Vincennes University.
