This filing provides for a business promotion. The promotion will run from April 18, 2010

through August 21, 2010. This promotion is in compliance with the FCC’s Memorandum Opinion and

Order in File No. EB-08-MD-002 issued June 23, 2008. The Company requests that the Commission

allow this tariff to become effective on April 18, 2010.

Description of Filing

This filing provides for a business promotion. Qualified customers are Verizon Maryland

business customers who:

a. subscribe to one or more business exchange voice lines; and

b. contact Verizon and threaten to disconnect their business exchange voice lines; and

c. agree not to disconnect their business exchange voice lines; and

d. subscribe to, or agree to subscribe to, one of the following combinations of services:

1. a new Unlimited Business Dial Tone Line Basic Package with a 36-month term plan or

an Unlimited CustoPak Basic Package with a 36-month term plan and also subscribe to:

i. a new additional Verizon FIOS Data service (25M/25M or higher) on a 2-year

term plan and Verizon Internet Security Suite /Verizon Online Backup Sharing

VISS/VOBS (25G or Higher); or

ii. a new additional Verizon FIOS Data service (25/25M or higher) on a 2-year term

plan, and Verizon Internet Security Suite /Verizon Online Backup Sharing

VISS/VOBS (25G or Higher), and FIOS TV (Prime for Business or higher) on a

1-year term; and

also subscribe to at least one of the following: a new business exchange line on a

month-to-month basis or 24-month term, or a new Custopak line on a 36-month term plan, or a

new FIOS data service (25/25M or higher) on a 2-year term plan, or a new FIOS TV

service (Prime for Business or higher) on a 1-year term plan.

2. a new Single Line Business Pak with a 36-month term plan and also subscribe to:

i. a new additional Verizon FIOS Data service (25M/25M or higher) on a 2-year term

plan and Verizon Internet Security Suite/Verizon Online Backup Sharing VISS/VOBS

(25G or Higher); or

ii. a new additional Verizon FIOS Data service (25/25M or higher) on a 2-year term

plan, and Verizon Internet Security Suite/Verizon Online Backup Sharing

VISS/VOBS (25G or Higher), and FIOS TV service (Basic for Business or higher) on

a 1-year term.

Qualified customers will be eligible to receive a $5.00 credit on their monthly telephone bill for

twelve consecutive months.

3. Qualified customers will be eligible to receive a $5.00 per month credit on their monthly telephone bill for twelve consecutive months.

4. A term agreement is required on all retained lines. This promotional offer is subject to the termination liability agreements established for term contracts.

5. This offer does not apply to customers who are disconnecting service through the Verizon website (http://www.verizon.com).

6. Qualifying customers are limited to one promotional offer for the period of the promotion.
