Studenter på master i informasjonsteknologi, Datateknikk, som ønsker studieopphold i utlandet anbefales å reise i 2. semester. Studenter som ønsker opphold i Norden, anbefales å benytte seg av NORDTEK-nettverket som legger til rette for utveksling på masternivå ved 21 Nordiske universitet og høgskoler med sivilingeniør- og forskerutdanninger innen tekniske fag i Danmark, Island, Finland og Sverige. I Europa kan studenter benytte seg av ERASMUS-avtalen. Studenter har vært på utveksling ved University of Western Australia, Queensland University of
Technology, i Australia og San Diego State University, USA.
