This is the f

A CLP looks lik e this:

Here, your Faculty Internship Supervisor will list four workplace objectives he/she feels you need to learn while interning

These are the objectives your new employer has indicated on the Internship Agreement form he/she faxed to the internship office

Finally, you will list four objectives that you personally

are hoping to achieve while you are interning

What should I expect from an internship??

Once your CLP is completed and f

axed to your emplo yer, make sure y ou sit down with them to discuss y our CLP objectiv es and the objectiv es they have

personally set aside f or you.

Arrange a weekly sc hedule and stic k to it. Plan on spending about 1

0 hours

a week there for appro ximately 8 weeks until y ou have worked a tot al of 80 hours. You should ar rive on time prepared to w ork and learn just lik e a real job.

Treat your internship as though it’

s a really long job inter view. The odds are really high the y

might consider mo ving you to a full-time position once y

our internship is o ver, however it is

entirely contingent upon ho w you functioned as an emplo yee for them. Whate ver you do, don’t burn any bridges b y being an unreliable intern – Orlando is a small to

wn and word gets

around really fast if y ou are the type of emplo yee they cannot recommend.

Although you might not be paid b

y your internship monet arily, you are still gaining priceless work experience and opport unities that you other wise would not receiv e without their time

and desire to see y ou grow as a designer .
