FOURTH GRADERS HAD A FUN AND MEANINGFUL

ACTIVITY FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL.

"I had a foam heart with a hidden picture of Jesus on the back. We talked about how mean words and actions can hurt our heart. As we said what some examples were, we pushed a pin into the heart. Next, we talked about how we could make up for hurtful words and actions. As we gave examples of these types of words we pulled the pins out of the heart. The pins left a mark on the heart just like they do on our own heart. Lastly, I revealed the hidden picture of Jesus and we talked about how we are made in God's image and when we say hurtful things or have hurtful actions it is like we are saying or doing those things to Jesus because he lives in our heat." -Mrs.

Matzek

FRIENDSHIP FUND

Here is an explanation of how the Friendship Fund Collection money is dispersed.

Many of our parishioners have received benefits from the Friendship Collection. This money has been used to help families with catastrophic illnesses, fires, or help families with parish funeral expenses.

We also send Assistance & Resource Center, Inc. (ARC) a check every month. Many of our parishioners volunteer every week at ARC.

For more information about ARC, please go to http://arcriverfalls.org/.
