HELP MANUAL FOR MACHINE SETUP FOR
DAE E-TENDERING SYSTEM

the required utilities.
You have to download & Install the three utilities available under the downloads section of DAE e-Tendering main portal i.e.
http://etenders.dae.gov.i n
Download the below mentioned three utilities from the download section. SHA 2 Utility Etoken utility Number to Word Conversion Utility (Indian Currency) – if you are going to quote in INR only.
Number to Word Conversion Utility (Foreign Currency) – if you want to quote in any foreign currency.
Click on the required utility to download in your machine (computer)
Refer the screenshot, after clicking on the utility link the system will prompt you to open, save & cancel. Select save & save it on desktop.
Now do the same for the other utilities & save it on the desktop, now after downloading all the utilities we have to install that.
Remember that please install all the utilities after closing the IE browser.Double click on the
“nxtcryptosystemutility .exe” to install them & click on next. Installing the E-Token utility. Right click on Etoken_utility.zip & select “Extract here” to extract the utility. Now Double click on the extracted “Etoken_utility.exe” to run that click on next to continue & install the utility. (Ref screenshot in next cell).
Complete the
installation by clicking on finish button.
Now the second utility is also installed on the system.
Kindly install the 3rd utility also.
Now double click on the
“Enumtotextclient.exe” utility & install in the same manner by clicking on the next button.
2) Adding the websites to trusted zone.
Here we have to add the websites to trusted zone, the changes & modification down here will not affect any of your internet experience.
The internet option window will look like this
Click on security tab to proceed with the adding of the sites to the trusted zone.

Adding the websites. 1) Uncheck the Require server verification checkbox.
2) Enter the site name which you want to add to this zone then press add button. Confirm by verifying that site name is transferred to websites zone (the 2nd box).

3) Enabling “Active-X” controls.
To enable the “active-X” controls, under the security tab click the “Custom level” button which is present at the bottom under the custom level page.
Enable all the Active X controls available under this section, wherever we are getting options like enable, disable, prompt. Kindly enable all the Active X controls & Plug-ins.
Kindly ensure that the “Use Pop-up Blocker” must be Disabled else it may lead to various error messages mentioned in
Troubleshooting section at the bottom of this help manual.
Enable all the controls, and then click on ok to finalize the settings.
A confirmation dialogue box will appear stating “Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone” click yes to confirm the changes.
Then click on “ok” button & proceed with the
4) Settings required for Internet Explorer 10.
Click on Tools option as per the screen shot. If this Tools option is not visible to you then follow the following steps – Right click on Address bar > Menu Bar > enable this. Then you will be able to get this Tools option.
Go to the Compatibility View Settings.
After clicking on Add button you will get the dae.gov.in in the below section of Websites you’ve added to Compatibility View as per the screen shot.
This completes you machine setup for the DAE-Tendering portal. Kindly go through the below

In case of improper machine setup or system error you may encounter below mentioned
error messages:
Error message Reason Steps to resolve
“Install security update “
Lack of machine setup
1) Click on “install security update link” & download the e-token utility & install it.
2) Restart the browser & check; proceed with the machine setup to avoid further issues.
“Automation server can`t create object “
Site not added to trusted zone or disabled Active-x controls
1) This error message is due to improper machine setup. Kindly go through the help manual for machine setup throughly & follow the instructions mentioned in that file to avoid any inconvinience.
2) Doing machine setup once again is suggested.
“Error in hashing, please check whether the client side crypto system is installed or not”
Improper machine setup, possibly due to operational mistake during the machine setup.
1) Add the site to the trusted zone (refer the help manual step 2) Enabling all the active-x controls on the system(refer the help manual for machine setup,step3
“Error loading DLL”
Generally occurs at time of
Encryption/decryption. Due to improper machine setup only
1) Follow the instructions mentioned in the Help manual for machine setup thorughly.
2) Accomplishing machine setup once again is suggested. 3) If problem presist please check “pop-up bloker” status, 4) Disable the “pop-up blocker” in order to avoid this error.
“Error Found” 1) Expired certificate. 2) USB token not attached to system. 3) Digital certificate not detected by the system.
1) Disable the “Pop-up blocker” in order to avoid this error. In case its not resolved kindly check your DSC(USB-Token) that it is properly plugged-in & installed or not.
2) In case the problem persists , remove your USB Token & insert it again.
3) If the problem is still not resolved then try Re-installing your USB-Token drivers.
“System Error “ Operational error 1) Kindly take the screenshot of the error & send it to “[email protected]“ to get is resolved.
“No valid action “ Operational error 1) Kindly take the screenshot of the error & send It to “ [email protected] “ to get is resolved.
“Select proper certificate to sign the data”
Improper Public key send 1) Complete the ‘DSC public key sending’ steps before clicking on ‘Accept & Send Sign hash’ button.
2) Please refer the manual for same available under the ‘e-learning tool kit’ section on portal http://etenders.dae.gov.in.
“Failed to create SPC store list/ Failed to create MY Store list” 1) Improper Operating System.
2) Not with the Administrator login
1) The operating system should be Windows 7 Ultimate/Professional or Windows XP Service Pack 3. 2) Open the system with main administration login.
“Please install Encryption Component”
1) SHA 2 utility is not installed
1) Remove/Uninstall the ‘Nxtcryptosystem.msi’ utility. 2) Install the new SHA 2 utility available under ‘Downloads’ section on portal http://etenders.dae.gov.in
“Get Certificate Public key Failed: There was an error while exporting the key blob”
1) Expired certificate. 2) USB token not attached to system. 3) Digital certificate not detected by the system.
1) Install your DSC properly.
2) You may contact to your DSC provider for same. 3) Remove your DSC token and connect it again.
“The Certificate or one of the
certificates in certificate chain does not have a valid signature”
1) Both the certificates not installed in the system.
1) Use both the DSC (Encryption/Decryption and Signing/Verification).
“Encryption/decryp tion failed: use of selected certificate is restricted to signing/verification ” or “Signing/verificatio n failed: use of selected certificate is restricted to Encryption/Decrypti on” 1) Certificate is not proper.
2) Both the certificate not installed
1) Use both the DSC (Encryption/Decryption and Signing/Verification).
2) Use Encryption/Decryption certificate during Encryption and Decryption process and use Signing/Verification certificate during the signing process.
