Client: Bunzl

Bunzl, a leading international distribution company chose Equiniti for its infrastructure and hosting service provision.

The requirement

Bunzl had previously managed its infrastructure and hosting internally. However, having experienced significant growth, the organisation was outgrowing its IT infrastructure and server and physical space capacity – causing problems with both storage and back-up.

The solution

Equiniti provided Bunzl with a fully managed hosting solution, using state-of-the-art infrastructure to manage the organisation’s existing applications including its Microsoft Office, Outlook and Exchange, file services and mobile devices.

Delivered via Citrix, the solution allows users to connect remotely. Bunzl’s applications are hosted in a combined environment, ensuring that all software updates are carried out quickly and efficiently in a central system, with no impact on Bunzl’s local IT infrastructure.

Benefits

Improved performance Enhanced resilience and security Scalability in line with organisation growth Enhanced business continuity capability Resilient back-up strategy

Client: MyCSP

MyCSP, the government’s first mutual joint venture (MJV), was established in 2012 to provide pension services to 1.5 million members of the Civil Service pension scheme across 250 employers, and sought a partner organisation to deliver all of its infrastructure and hosting requirements.

The requirement

MyCSP’s staff are drawn from a number of disparate groups – the DWP, HMRC, MoD and the Home Office – which each delivered scheme administration independently of each other using different versions of a common system. The chosen supplier was tasked with implementing a scalable, highly secure IT environment, providing a consistent IT experience across the new organisation.

The solution

MyCSP selected the Equiniti solution, which encompassed all aspects of IT service provision, from server infrastructure

through to desktop environments and telephony, including full technical and customer support, utilising leading edge technology. This resulted in a more efficient IT environment which is fully security accredited, high availability and flexible.

Benefits

Over 99% availability for all internal applications

Highly virtualised environments, reducing the cost of further physical servers, and also generating savings on power, cooling and software licensing costs

Improved service quality

Improved staff experience who now have access to latest versions of productivity tools

Flexibility – equipped for rapid take-on of new business volumes

Client: A major international

bank

A major international bank partnered with Equiniti to provide a hosted proof of life solution for a major European government to help it improve the efficiency of the pension administration of its 411,000 overseas pensioners.

As a result of the success of this project it chose Equiniti to provide a hosted digital and archive retrieval service for divested and closed book accounts for 7.4 million customers - saving the bank £151.2 million over six years.

The requirement

A major international bank had been divesting and winding down a number of its non-core UK businesses as part of a global business review. However, it was mandated by law to maintain and provide limited services for a number of client accounts.

It required a partner to deliver a hosted, low risk, low cost model that would provide data management and operational fulfilment services for a minimum of six years.

The solution

Equiniti designed and built the solution and was responsible for all data mapping, planning and migration and the set-up of a digital and voice archive.

As a hosted solution Equiniti provides communications management, disaster recovery and trial runs, back up, network penetration tests, vulnerability scans and management information.
