● Staff the appropriate skill profiles and product expertise from day one ● Fully realize the ROI of BCO implementation

● Deliver product support for the IT organization and the company

● Establish, consolidate and enforce Capacity Management practices and processes

● Develop custom connectors for BCO and external data sources such as management platforms or applications

● Perform continuous Capacity Planning and Optimization that responds to changing requirements ● Design and run a Capacity Management service catalog for internal customers fully aligned to

A service that fits your needs

Regardless of the maturity level of your Capacity Management process or the capacity management tool implementation, Moviri can engage with your company offering the right mix of services from installation all the way to full BCO outsourcing. Moviri Managed BCO is offered in three service tiers:

Bronze: ideal for BCO customers with specific limited needs such as implementing a custom ETL or implementing a major BCO release upgrade.

Silver: ideal for BCO customers that need assistance in stepping up the maturity ladder or plan to enable an internal Capacity Management team.

Gold: ideal for customers seeking a complete managed service outsourcing solution for their BCO management and the capacity management process.

How

does it work?

At Moviri we know very well how difficult it is to determine the right budget to keep a solution up and running, to extend it and to make it fit actual demand.

We have the right solution: we perform a solution assessment on your environment and provide you with a suggested amount of tokens. You then purchase tokens according to your budgeted needs and decide how and when to use them.

Forget complex SOWs, scope negotiations and effort estimates! We keep it very simple: every activity in BCO has a cost expressed in tokens, so you always know exactly what you can achieve and the resources

(3)

that are required. Moviri consultants will assist you in prioritizing activities and advise you on the best and most cost effective course of action. Plus, BCO administration and maintenance are always included in Silver and Gold service plans!

Which level of service is right for my company?

Have you just rolled out BCO or are planning to implement BCO solutions? Let the IT Optimization experts help you make sure you reap the rewards of your investment for years to come. We have delivered more than 150 projects, including more than a hundred integrations between management platforms and BCO, Capacity Planning reports and studies and dashboards.

Here’s three possible scenarios...

Scenario 1 – Implement custom ETL, report and upgrade to a

major BCO™ release

“My  company  implemented  BCO  1  year  ago,  the  team  is  composed  of  3  people.  We  had  training  sessions   during  the  year  but  we  didn’t  manage  to  build  integraAons  and  now  we  have  a  criAcal  data  source  we   must  have  covered  by  our  capacity  management  process  by  the  end  of  this  year.  Also,  we  want  to   implement  a  generic  report  to  detect  capacity  outages  on  each  server  technology  (i.e.  Windows,  Linux,   AIX,  etc.).  On  the  plaJorm  maintenance  side  we  know  quite  well  how  to  administer  BCO  day-‐by-‐day,  but,   honestly,  I  would  not  go  for  a  major  upgrade  on  my  own.  I  know  this  is  something  we  need  to  go  thru   shortly,  since  are  very  interested  in  a  couple  of  newly  released    features.”

How Moviri will help

The right service for this scenario is Bronze. Moviri will: ● Plan the upgrade to the target version.

● Perform the upgrade, test it and verify non regression in your environment.

● Design the integration to the complex data source, develop and test after its deployment. ● Design the report and develop it, implementing a template to reuse it.

Scenario 2: Enable your team to use BCO™ and increase process

maturity level

“A  contractor  implemented  BCO  and  we  rolled  out  the  producAon  one  month  ago.  Right  now  we  do  not   have  enough  knowledge  to  administer  the  plaJorm.  I  think  my  team  has  the  necessary  skills  to  manage   the  plaJorm  in  the  future  but  I  need  somebody  now  to  do  the  work  for  us,  eventually  enabling  two   members  of  the  team.  Anyhow,  I  want  to  have  in-‐house  skills  to  maintain  and  extend  the  soluAon  in  a

(4)

medium  Ame  frame.  One  of  the  guys  in  my  service  line  is  involved  in  capacity  management  since  2005.   I’d  like  him  to  be  able  to  correlate  business  and  infrastructure  KPIs  as  one  of  my  goal  is  to  achieve  service   capacity  management.  I  know  this  is  something  he  already  managed  in  the  past  using  a  couple  of  tools,   but  I  need  to  standardize  this  approach  and  I  know  BCO  is  the  right  plaJorm  to  speed  up  the  process  and   increase  the  whole  process  maturity  level.”

How Moviri will help

The right service for this scenario is Silver. Moviri will: ● Perform a health check of your BCO environment.

● Train members of the team on how to use BCO, how to maintain and manage the platform, how to check daily data flow to detect anomalies in the data collection.

● Coach members of the team on how to achieve results in Capacity using BCO basic and advanced features like correlation analyses, forecasting modules and on how to design and develop

Capacity deliverables using BCO basic and advanced reports.

● Design and develop the integration with Business KPIs data source to 1) import them into BCO and 2) use them to perform correlations and advanced models for the services in scope. ● Design a solution to replicate the exercise on other services.

Scenario 3 – Full outsource your Capacity Management process

“A  couple  of  months  ago  we  understood  that  Capacity  Management  is    becoming  criAcal  to  our  company   as    we  experienced  some  major  changes  in  the  way  we  support  the  business.  We’re  migraAng  most  of   our  service  to  the  cloud  and  we’ve  found  that  the  tools  we  have  in  place  today  are  good  enough  for   monitoring  purposes,  but  inadequate  to  process  large  data  sets  to  forecast  our  future  needs.  We’re   confident  there’s  a  lot  of  valuable  informaAon  in  the  data:  last  year  we  started  implemenAng  in-‐house  a   data  warehouse  but  we  faced  major  issues.  The  effort  required  to  extract  the  data  and  push  it  into  the   warehouse  was  too  high;  we  didn’t  have  the  skills  to  analyze  the  data;  we  were  not  able  to  develop   meaningful  capacity  analysis  and  models;  we  realized  that  it  was  not  possible  to  do  capacity  for   services...    I  decided  to  stop  this  internal  iniAaAve  and  change  our  strategy.  We  acquired  and  deployed   BCO  and  we  are  now  looking  for  a  team  of  experts  to  integrate  it  into  our  environment  and  produce   capacity  plans.    My  goal  is  to  outsource  the  process  completely.”

How Moviri will help

The right service for this scenario is Gold. Moviri will:

● Design the Capacity Management process, defining roles, tools and interfaces to other IT processes.

● Define targets and metrics of Capacity Management (IT infrastructure/service/business capacity management).

● Implement the Capacity Management process. ● Produce quarter or annual capacity plans.

(5)

● Perform a health check of your BCO environment. ● Maintain and upgrade the software solution.

● Extend the solution to the relevant data sources (through custom connector development). ● Include in BCO scope applications and critical services.

● Perform capacity studies to consolidate applications to hybrid/public cloud infrastructures.
