K-12 School-based
Have served as Coordinator of Scholarship Initiatives since
November, 2009. Included in this is responsibility for all administrative details relating to MA in Leadership major projects and internships, including Research Ethics Board applications. Have served as the Non-Profit Stream Coordinator since March 2010 and as Education Stream Coordinator since July 2010.
Am currently teaching one section of LDRS 590 (Scholarly
Inquiry and Research Methods) as directed study to five learners. Taught one section of LDRS 625E (Educational Leadership and Change) in the Fall 2010 semester. Will be teaching LDRS 590 in the Spring 2011 as well as a section of LDRS 591 (Scholarly Inquiry) in the eMAL program beginning in June. Am currently revising LDRS 590 to LDRS 591 specifications in anticipation of MA in Leadership program restructuring, as well as for delivery in China in the eMAL program offering.
Have received a provisional ministry license from the
Evangelical Free Church of Canada. Preached an average of once per month for three years, performed required duties of a pastor.
Have been involved in all aspects of school administration,
including plant management, business management, school organization, communication, student counseling and
discipline, staff development, instructional leadership and decision making.
Have extensive teaching and administrative experience, K-12,
public schools and private Christian schools.
Have served on school-based internal accreditation teams and
as an external accreditation team member.
LAY MINISTRY AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Currently serving on the Canadian board and the International
Board of UIM International, a mission agency engaged in First Nations church planting.
Past service on the board of the Lower Pacific District,
Evangelical Free Church of Canada, the board of UIMI Canada (serving First Nations) as well as the Advisory Council to the President of Trinity Western Seminary.
Consistent involvement in local churches, with ministry in
many capacities including Board Treasurer, teaching of all ages including adults, teens and intermediates.

INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES
Avid outdoor sports enthusiast.
Widely read, with particular interest in theology. Favorite
books include works by John Piper, John Owen, Jonathan Edwards, David Wells, J. I. Packer, and Vishal Mangalwadi. Favorite non-professional reading has included works by Romeo Dallaire, Jeffrey Sachs, Fareed Zacharia, and Jim Wallis. Recent professional reading has included numerous works by such authors as Michael Fullan, Robert Greenleaf, John Maxwell, Fons Trompenaars, and John Kotter, Alexander Hill, Peter Scazzero, Robin Lovin, Joseph Badaracco, Craig Johnson, and Thomas Sergiovanni.
