An unlimited number of items that can be animated by moving, rotating and changing color and transparency can be previewed prior to going out to air. Multiple real-time effects can be used for graphics and text providing an optimal visual appearance. CVP Player is compatible with Standard and high definition video cards that supports DirectX 9 and above.

System requirements

HARDWARE SPECIFICATIONS

 512 MB or MORE NVIDIA or ATI (HD SERIER WITH HDMI OUT) for HD Output and SVIDEO for SD Out  2 X 2 GB RAM

 500 MB HD SPACE (1 TB HARD DISK). SSD is recommended for Media Content which needs to load frequently.  2 GHZ Dual Core or Above in Intel or AMD series

Installation

CVP Player Setup CD comes with all Prerequisite Software

Pre Requisite Installations

 Go To CVP Player CD Setup\Pre Setups  Go To Folder 1 and Run dotnetfx35.exe

o You don’t need this in latest windows versions

Installing CVP Player

 Installing CVP Player is very Simple if all your Prerequisite are available  Go to Player Setup and run setup.exe

Creating a Project

Launching CVP Player

To launch CVP Player software just Go to Program Menu -> CVP Player -> CVP Player

Once you lunch the CVP Player you can see the output in the HD Output or SD Output or in the Secondary Monitor And Player will be launched in the Primary Screen. When Player is launched it will open the default project.

Add Movie Files Here (Click Add File In File List Tool Bar or Drag And Drop). Movie files can be added with Timeliness and Without Timeliness Once You Added a File Go To Time Tab and specify if you want this item to be played with specific time. The play-list will execute in sequence so make sure if the time is a future time further files will not play until this file is played. No need to provide any time for most of the scenarios.

To start the Project Go To Project Tab and Start the Project and you will see the output in Secondary or in Primary SD / HD based on your configuration.

Creating Movie Play-list

About Movie Play-list

Movie list is time based play-list in a sequence. This play-list can contain Video / Image / Audio / Live Files. Movie Play-list is the entry point of the project and if no movies are available for the current time then the pointer goes to Buffer Movies. Any item in Movie Play-list will support Start Date Time / End Date Time. If you choose any of these options then the Movie item will be played based on time selection. You can ignore the dates by selecting the check boxes for dates.

Quick Start On Movie Play-list

Launch CVP Player. To know how to Launch CVP Player Go To -> Launching CVP Player in this Manual. Then select Movie Tab on top menus.

Now add any file in to this list by drag and drop or you can select Add options in File List Menu - Add File / Add Folder / Add Live and go to time tab to specify their timings if any.

If you don’t specify any time they will play in sequence unless if there is an Advertisement in between or if user manually starts the Emergency Advertisements or Live. If the movie sequence has a time gap then in between it will play the Buffer List. Always populate your buffer list with some media items so you will not end up showing blank screen in those gaps.

Select Start Time and Uncheck Date if you want to ignore Dates. This scenario is required if you want the same project to be run for multiple days with the same program so Dates can be ignored. Select Start Time as above. If the Start Time is valid means not past then it will be shown in File List corner also as below.

Now you add a couple more files to group under this file if they Sequence needs to be continued after the first file. The system also gives the estimate time for the selected item in the list as below.

Now all files will play in sequence after 8:42 AM. But if project is started before then the Pointer will go to Buffer Movie. So to keep some Buffer always add some files to your Buffer List. Add some channel adds / songs or logos which you want to play during buffer time which mean non-planned time. To add Buffer Movie go to Buffer Menu and add some files as below. No time lines can be added for Buffer Items and all these items will play in Sequence and in Repeated Mode.

Now let’s save this project as below. Just click on Save on Project Tab and Save the project to a file. Once it’s is saved you can also see the current loaded project from title as below.

To Start the Project Click on Start and you will see Buffer and Logs coming up as Movie is scheduled to play at 8:42 AM. The sample output is as below and you can see the logo displayed at the position specified and it can be video file or PNG sequence or CG Animation.

Select Weather Tab and specify the location as below. And you can click on Preview to see the Preview. Finally click OK to save your CG Animation to the Playlist.

Logo

About Logo

Logos are image or video overlays like Picture in Picture that you want to show on screen. Logos can be Video / Image or CG Animation / HTML Widget. You can add a PNG with Alpha if you want a water mark kind of Logo or you can add AVI and add the effects to show it. Logos can be shown while playing Movie / Buffer Movie they will be hided while playing

Advertisements.

Quick Start - Logo

To Add a Logo Start Create a Project and Fill you Movie / Buffer Movie Play-list. Now Go To Logo Tab Menu on Top as below

Added an Alpha Channel PNG Image for HD Logo and specified the position for it. Now Start the Project and you will see as below - The HD Logo is displayed on Top of Movie with Alpha Channel.

To Create add a Water Mark Kind of Logo. Go To -> Effect Tab -> Opacity / Transparent as below. Select Apply Affect and only Check Alpha and select Opacity Value.

Scroller / Slide Show / Time Logos

About

These items are more like an overlay items with Time and Schedules. There can be multiple time lines added for example if you want to Show a Slide Show at Top and a running Marquee at bottom just add 2 time lines and for each time line Add Files and Provide Times or Schedules. These time line items has same behavior as Logo they will not be shown while playing

Advertisements. Scroller Options

 Visible – To make the time line visible and appear on the screen  Wait Mode – Will not repeat after completing the timeline

 Continuous – Scroller will run one after another without any gap in between

Quick Start On Scroller

Just create a Movie Play-list as mentioned in Creating Movie Play-list.

Now go to Scroller Tab Menu as below. By default one time line will be available. Just select the existing time line Scroller0 and then add a file as below.

Select the Scroller Time Line and Add Files you want to display. Below is the sample scroller I want to display in my output.

Once the project starts the output will look as below. And the Scroller keeps on crawling till the entire content is shown and then it skips to next one or repeats again based on options.

Every item can have its own back ground and foreground contents that can be used. Below are the options for these at time line level and the same available for each item as Attachments.

Quick Start On Slide Show

If you want to add a Slide Show you can use Scroller0 time line or create new one. Then add one more Time Line at Scroller0 you will Get Scroller1

And add some image files

Now Position your image as below if needed and click on Convert To Slide Show. The Entire timeline will be converted as slide show with Transformations.

Create a Live File

About

Live files is a pre created configuration file to use Live Device. To Create Live File Go To Prgram Menu -> CVP Player -> CVP Live Creator

Select a Device and Click on Capture button and if you want to change other properties change them at Bottom Tabs and Finally Click Save Live File.

These Live Files can be added CVP Player and the live file will be treated as any other Video file without any Duration but you can specify start time / end time similar to any other movie file and it will be shown in those timing only.

Sub Items

About

Sub Items are like a file Specific Logos that System Renders as Background or Foreground. These type of items supports all specifications as a normal Logo has. You can apply affects etc… on this.

Quick Start

Launch any project or create a new and add a file to the Play-list. Select the file and click on Attachments Tab and you will see options to add Sub Items.

About

CVP Player provides couple of categories for playing advertisements. These items will be invoked on time bases and they will intterup any playing Buffer Movie or Movie. The Movie will be on hold till the Advertisement Completes and then resumes back.

Quick Start

Launch any project or create a new and add a file to the Movie Play-list. Go To Advertisement Tab and Add a File. After adding a file select the Time tab and specify when to play to start this file. The play-list will play all the below files of this file if no time is mentioned for those files like Group of files to be played in a break.

The below image shows a set of groups that will be played as advertisement breaks on the specified time 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM. 3 file will be played at 9:30 and then Movie resumes at 10:30 AM again the next break will be played.

This kind of scenario will help for a timebased Advertisements and in case if there is a Breaking News or some immediate Advertisement you want to display then add those kind of items to Emergency Advertisement by going to that tab as below.

When an Emergency advertisement is played it will take Priority than any other play-list and all items that are in play State will be paused and resumes after the Advertisements are done in this list. You can manually skip in between by Clicking on Skip Button.

Live

About

CVP Player provides a Live categories for playing unscheduled Live Events. These items will not be played on Time bases you have to start the item. If the live item needs to be scheduled it can be done in Movie item directly.

Quick Start

Launch any project or create a new and add a file to the Movie Play-list. Go To Live Tab and Add a File. After adding a File select the Time tab and specify when to stop the live file. The play-list will play till you skip if no time is specified.

Trip Sheets

About

CVP Player provides an easy way to import Trip Sheets using Excel. This will help to manage time and ads management as part of other software but excel can be used to import into CVP Player.

Quick Start

Launch CVP Player / Project Creator Go to the Tab where you want to Import

Once you see the above dialog specify the Path where the media files can be located. There is no need in the trip sheet to specify full path. Even if the full path is not specified it can still load the media item based on this. Below is the sample Excel Trip Sheet.

Now click on “Load from File” and once everything is loaded you can “Save to Project”. Files will be added as below with times specified in the trip sheet.

Streaming From You Tube

About

These days streaming from Internet is quite common or may be needed as your production users may be located remotely and You Tube streaming will provide better access to online advertisements for your clients and consumers. CVP Player provides an easy option to include You Tube videos as part of your play list.

Quick Start

Launch CVP Player

Go to Play List where you want to add You Tube video to Click on More -> Option Templates -> Add CG Template

Select You Tube and specify the Video ID. You can grab the ID from You Tube. You can use Render Options to improve quality (For HD give HD Sizes so HD video will be loaded from You Tube) and also to specify if they need to be on Loop or not. Duration is not needed for You Tube template.
