Development brings

opportunities

The elderly population is increasing all the time – and there

are increasing demands for quality, safety and flexibility. We

think this is a good thing. Choice is important, as different

needs require different solutions. At the same time there is

rapid development of medical devices. This also increases the

possibilities for satisfying the wishes of our customers.

At Human Care we focus firmly on research and development

in order to meet future demands and to offer the best products

on the market – products that lift.

We strive for constant improvement and adaptation. Our product development

department offers high flexibility and efficiency. Here we test and develop our

existing range, and create new products with innovative features and details.

improved safety and greater freedom in the future.

our r&D work

high quality development and produCtion

Human Care has an in-house development de-partment for overhead lifts in Sweden, which handles day-to-day and future product develop-ment work. Docudevelop-mentation, standard adaptation, quality assurance and product development are some of the tasks undertaken there.

Our global development organisation in Austra-lia, the USA and Hong Kong works closely with customers and suppliers in order to ensure that we develop and manufacture what customers want to the best of our ability. We also have our own production facilities in Sweden, giving us full control, speed, adaptability and guaranteed good quality on delivery. Add to that the high levels of skill and years of experience in overhead lift installation; our personnel ensure these benefits reach our customers in each product.

skilled at Cooperation

Cooperation is a prerequisite for development. At Human Care there is a close working relationship between the departments responsible for purcha-sing, product development, production and qua-lity assurance. External resources and expertise are also used to forge ahead in our development work. We are attentive to market demands and follow relevant standards and directives – national and international.

Thanks to our proximity to our suppliers, we can also offer efficient logistics and excellent warehou-sing.

high environmental

anD quality targets

When it comes to our environmental and quality work, we aim high.

Not satisfied with what we – according to laws and ordinances – have

to do, we strive constantly to become even better, which brings us a step

closer to moving even further ahead.

for the environment’s sake

The overall environmental work within the group focuses on minimising the effects of our activities and our products on the environment. None of the group’s product areas, overhead lifts or rollators, perform any activities requiring special permits.

our environmental poliCy

Human Care strives to be at the forefront of environmental work in our industry. When we launch a new product, we place great emphasis on the environment when it comes to the com-ponents we use. We work continuously on exten-ding the service life of our products, which helps to protect our natural resources. Human Care will comply with environmental legislation and other environmental requirements, as well as work constantly on improvements and preventive measures by:

• reducing the amount of waste produced and improving our waste management. • streamlining our transport of raw materials and finished products.

• increasing our employees’ knowledge and commitment in day-to-day environmental work.

• striving to reduce our energy usage. • Cooperating with suppliers and customers as well as the authorities with the aim of creating a better environment.

quality improvement

At Human Care we work systematically on quality improvement on all levels, both when it comes to production processes and final products. The company is certified in accordance with SS-EN ISO 9001:2008. All the company’s products are CE-marked and can thus be sold throughout the EU without local quality control in each individual EU country.

However, careful testing is performed internally on a regular basis to ensure that the right pro-duction processes are being applied, and that our products correspond to our own high targets, as well as to satisfy requirements set out by interna-tional authorities.

only rohs-approved produCts

From 2013 the scope of the EU’s RoHS Directive will be expanded to also cover medical devices. RoHS stands for ”restriction of hazardous sub-stances”. The directive forbids or restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electric and electronic products in order to protect the environment and human health. The directive also aims to promote the use and management of waste containing electric and electronic products in ways that are kind to the environment. All Human Care overhead lifts will be RoHS-approved by January 2014.

rail systems

human Care supplies a variety of ceiling rail types depending on the customer’s preferences. With one of the most complete rail systems on the market, alongside our existing discreet and well-designed rails, we are able to offer new, flexible and cost-effective rails.

our various rail systems can be easily adapted to the user’s requirements and can be installed irre-spective of the room layout or the building structu-re. the rails are made from white-painted extruded aluminium and are available in different standard lengths and profile types.

the rail systems consist of single rails or traverses which are mounted on ceilings. a single rail system consists of a straight rail, a curve, several straight rails or a combination of straight rails and curves installed in succession. all to achieve a rail system

with the desired appearance and function. if rails longer than our standard are required, two or more rails can be spliced together. this system allows the overhead lift and user to be moved along the rail. our rails can also be wall-mounted or supported with floor-posts.

a traverse system consists of two primary (side) rails and a secondary (traverse) rail, and is used to allow movement along both X and y axes.

Where necessary, the rails can be incorporated into the suspended ceiling. this is possible during instal-lation of ceiling attachments, pendulums or wood ceiling attachments. both single rail and traverse sys-tems can be installed. Covers should ideally be fitted to the end of each rail to improve the appearance of the system.

all rail profiles are stocked in a variety of standard lengths. our 100 mm ceiling rail is available as cur-ves with angles of 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees. our 80 mm ceiling rail is available as curves with angles of 45 and 90 degrees.

the 90 degree angle rail is also available with exten-ded ends. the curves are for ceiling installation only and can be spliced with straight rails as required. the profiles are combined to form rail systems of vary-ing sizes, dependvary-ing on the solution required. We also have a complete range of carriages, traverse carriages and intermediate pieces. all products have an attractive appearance that blends in well in most settings.
