Income-Qualified Programs
SoCalGas Energy Savings Assistance Program for Low-income Customers: offers no-cost energy-saving home improvements and furnace repair or replacement services for qualified limited-income renters and homeowners. To Qualify: 1) You or another person in the household must have received benefits from programs such as Medi-Cal/Medicaid, Women, Infants and Children (WIC), CalFresh/SNAP, SSI, etc.
2) Total income for all persons in your household meet income guidelines (ex: Household of four with a total yearly income of no more than $47,100). 3) For multifamily, property owners need to give permission and tenants need to qualify.
4) For multifamily, if the tenant is on CARE then they already qualify for ESAP if property is individually metered.

SoCalGas California Solar Initiative (CSI) Solar Thermal: homeowners who qualify for low-income housing programs may apply for incentives under the CSI Single-family Affordable Solar Housing (SASH) or the CIS Multifamily Affordable Solar Housing (MASH). Los Angeles Better Buildings Challenge (LABBC): The LABBC supports participating properties in creating and executing strategies to conserve energy and water, tailored to the property's specific needs. Strategies include benchmarking, data tracking, capital project
development, tenant engagement, green leasing and project financing and marketing support.
To Qualify: Properties must sign a non-binding commitment to achieve 20 percent energy savings by 2020, agree to share utility data through Portfolio Manager, set clear investment criteria, assign an appropriate point of contact and select at least one of the LABBC's
energy/water savings programs.
