Emergency First Aid in the Workplace Level 2

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 places a duty on employers to ensure adequate equipment, facilities and personnel are provided to render first aid to their employees if they are injured or become ill at work. This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to take on the responsibilities of a first aider in the workplace. Entry requirements: No formal qualifications required.

Health and Safety in the Workplace HABC Award Level 2

The Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is a qualification aimed at all employees. Its syllabus areas are regarded by the Health and Safety executive as being important to maintaining safe working

procedures in the workplace.

Entry requirements: No formal qualifications required.

Food Safety in Catering HABC Award Level 2

This one day course is aimed at caterers and other food handlers and will involve learning about food safety in the storage, preparation, cooking, service and handling of food. These topics are regarded by the Foods Standards Agency as being important to maintaining good practice. Entry requirements: No formal qualifications required.

NEBOSH National General Certificate Level 3

Management of Health and Safety in the workplace is not only a legal obligation and a moral imperative, it also makes good business sense. NEBOSH is a National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. This qualification is designed to help those with Health and Safety responsibilities, for example, for managers, supervisors and employee representatives to carry out their duties at work more effectively, to help protect the organisation for which they work.

Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (City

& Guilds 2395 and 2395)

This certificate helps develop the knowledge and practical experience to professionally design and install, or inspect and test electrical installations. The qualification shows your customers that you’re a competent installer or tester, and you are up-to-date with national requirements for the industry (BS7671).

To complete this course, you must take 2 evening exams and 1 practical assessment arranged seperately to the course.

Entry requirements: Qualified electrician with City & Guilds 2330, 2360, 2351, 2365, or 2357 and hold the City & Guilds BS7671 (January 2008) (2382)

This qualification is aimed at practising electricians with relevant

experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations.

Entry requirements: No formal qualifications required.

PAT Testing – Certificate for In-service Inspection and

This course covers a variety of factors relating to the management, inspection and testing of electrical equipment maintenance. The course consists of 2 units. Unit 200 is the ‘Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment’ (formally known as 2377-22) and Unit 100 is the ‘Maintenance of Electrical Equipment’ (formally known as 2377-11).

Entry requirements: Relevant industry employment with knowledge that will support this qualification.

Principles of Leadership ILM Certificate Level 3
