Supporting young people 14 – 17 who are considered to be in need of support,

including those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and those in

need of protection. We also work with care leavers 16 – 21 or 25 if in full time

education providing advice and guidance.

This activity will work with young women aged between 16-24 who are not in

employment, education or training. The activity will take place once a week for

12 weeks in both the gym and community room @ Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre.

The activity aims to build confidence and self-esteem among its participants. The

and job readiness of the participants. This will include:

CAB sessions run in Tredegar by CAB for debt, benefits and consumer advice.

Target Cohort

Although open to all, CAB outreach services will particularly benefit disabled people; families with children (including lone parents), people with changing or reducing welfare benefit entitlement, people experiencing problem debt and people requiring assistance and representation at tribunals and appeals, unemployed, particularly long term unemployed people and workless households living within the defined Cluster area

Entitlement for all 18 – 24 year Jobcentre Plus, who are available and actively

seeking employment and therefore entitled to JSA. Jobcentre Plus offers a number

of programmes and services to help jobseekers, unemployed people, those with

disabilities and others who may need extra help in finding work. Jobcentre Plus

provides a wide range of information and services, like help with finding a job,

benefits, loans and grants.
