Action EMS has been a leader in Emergency
Medical Services (EMS) for over 30 years. We are
available to over a million residents of Boston’s
north suburbs, covering 130 square miles and
we respond to over 30,000 calls a year. Action
EMS is excited to be expanding our services
to Specialized Transportation customers. We
believe that our many years of service transporting
patients in emergency and non-emergency
situations will allow for a smooth transition into
the area of Specialized Transportation.

children and the transition from home to school may be
stressful, we understand this and we are here to work
with you to make it a pleasant experience for everyone.
Each Specialized Transportation vehicle is equipped
with Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) Units that will
allow parents the ability to log onto the website and
track your child’s location at any time.

As part of the Action EMS family, the Specialized
Transportation group will have access to all of
our resources. This includes immediate access to
emergency medical resources if needed during
transportation, advanced training and education in
First Aid/CPR and AED, web based reporting and
24/7 guidance/supervision from our Leadership Team.
Dispatch
• Our Communications Center is open 24/7 and is staffed with certified dispatchers who are available to answer your questions, make changes to your schedule and update any requirements for your child. If at any time you have a question or concern, our Leadership Team is available to you by calling 1-800-281-2124 or by contacting Joe Simone, VP of Operations at 781-858-4590.
• Our dispatch staff is trained and certified in Emergency Medical Dispatching (EMD), and utilizes cutting edge computer aided equipment software with GPS technology to assure that the closest, appropriate ambulance will respond.
• Both radio traffic and telecommunications is recorded with Instant Replay. This system allows Action to closely monitor and record all calls.
• Action utilizes Zoll Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
