Position purpose
Barwon Water is consolidating its Geelong operations to one location in Ryrie Street, Geelong. The new 'Ryrie HQ' will accommodate all office-based employees currently split between Mercer Street, Malop Street and South Geelong from August 2017.
2 This newly created role will work alongside the senior leadership team in managing the people change aspects in regards to the new accommodation. The position will lead the development, implementation and embedding of change management plans to enable Barwon Water employees to
successfully transition and operate effectively in Ryrie HQ. This will ensure business continuity and efficiency gain targets are achieved.
The Change Management Advisor will take a holistic view of change across the project and is primarily responsible for ensuring the execution of a change management plan and its integration with the Ryrie HQ project team, other major projects and business as usual initiatives.

Key accountabilities
Lead the development and implementation of a change management strategy that underpins the project to support
successful project delivery.
Preparation of a detailed change management plan identifying key milestones, timelines and responsibility for the delivery of activities including:
• Governance framework;
• Resistance management and training; • Risk Management; and
• Communications and Stakeholder Engagement (in conjunction with Media and Communications)
Measurement criteria
• Preparation, approval and progress monitoring against each Plan
• Application of a structured methodology to lead change management activities
• Define and measure success metrics and monitor progress of metrics.
Work closely with the management team and People and Capability to develop, implement and embed change
management plans at designated work group/department level.
• Complete change management assessments by group/department to assess change readiness
• Develop change management plans at an organisation and group/department level
• Develop implementation plan including timeframes, key deliverables and resource requirements
• Facilitate management team meetings at scheduled forums to ensure consistency in objectives and delivery of actions (including agenda preparation, minute taking and action plan monitoring)

• Monitoring and reporting of change management plan activities at designated work groups/departments.

Be responsible for the integration of change management activities and deliverables in project planning and execution.

appropriate internal stakeholder communication/management plans are developed, updated and implemented.

Monitor and report on the change management program to Project Governance Committee and Property Consolidation
Project Control Group.
• Identify, analyse, and report on risk mitigation tactics • Establish and manage reporting for the committee. • Provide progress reports against the change management
strategy, including identification of emerging issues.

• Timely preparation of reports for governance committee
Prepare organisational tools on change management to enable a consistent approach across the business and upskill
employees in utilisation of the tools.
• Prepare a ‘toolkit’ for change management activities to provide consistent change resources and change management
methodology across Barwon Water
• Conduct training sessions on change management methodology and tools.
• Facilitate workshops and coach managers and employees on change management activities and planning for change for their team

• Preparation of change management ‘toolkit’
• Facilitation of change management workshops and training in change management tools/methodology.

Facilitate and coordinate Change Champions meetings, communications and engagement.
• Manage Change Champion activities including prepare agenda, prepare/distribute minutes and monitor progress against identified actions
• Communicate in a timely manner with Change Champions and engage them to provide insights to emerging issues in regards to the transition and potential areas of resistance
Measurement criteria
• Agendas and minutes prepared within five days of meetings • Action Plan prepared and milestones met
Contribute to optimising health, safety, environmental and quality performance at Barwon Water
• Perform tasks in accordance with procedures, plans and otherdocumented instructions • Report hazards and incidents
• Monitor workplace to identify hazards and take appropriate action to rectify
• Promote Barwon Water’s high standards in relation to health, safety, environment and quality
• Participate in workplace audits and inspections and report any opportunity for improvement

Qualifications and Experience
• Significant experience and demonstrated success in developing and implementing change programs that have an organisation wide impact
• Experience working with project teams, including delivery of projects from scope to completion.
• Change management methodologies (PROSCI is desirable). • Project management methodologies.
