Rovius, an Accelerite product, is an application and data replication software for physical and virtual environments. Enterprises can convert, migrate, replicate, and recover workloads across both physical and virtual environments. Rovius is highly scalable and can protect up to 60+

separate physical and virtual data center sites with a single management server.

Rovius provides you with many ways to manage and protect your workloads, allowing you to rapidly restore data and applications with aggressive recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO), irrespective of environment (physical/virtual) or underlying technologies.

Continuous asynchronous data replication provides robust protection, with minimal impact on

application performance, while recovery orchestration ensures all application interdependencies are

preserved to enable logical recovery.

AT-A-GLANCE

KEY BENEFITS

Always On, Always Protected: Near-zero RTOs and RPOs for recovery of data and application workloads ensures business continuity. Recovery Assurance: Non-disruptive failover testing to validate recoverability of workloads. Simplified Administration: Unifies disaster recovery orchestration of on-premise data centers and cloud-based virtual data centers (VDCs). Point-and-click recovery operations for individual virtual machines, groups of servers and data drives, or entire data centers. Increased Elasticity: Scales and supports application workloads on-demand to meet ever-changing business needs.

Reduced Expenses: Eliminates the need for a redundant recovery data center. Realize savings from reduced capital expenditures (CapEx) and operational expenditures (OpEx).

With Rovius, unify and dramatically

simplify how you manage and protect

your VMware infrastructure with a

private cloud, while slashing costs

Current Challenges We Hear From IT

Managing VMware Environments

Migration from a physical data center to cloud is complex and costly

A VMware physical data center needs stringent underlying IT infrastructure requirements to be met for replication and migration of data and

applications to successfully occur between physical data centers, or to a cloud-based data center.

Lack of cloud interoperability

Outside of a standard VMware environment, there is limited interoperability with third party clouds. Many business desire to integrate VMware data centers and private clouds from VMware, OpenStack, etc., but the difficulty in intercloud migration of

workloads essentially locks them in to their current cloud.

Lack of best practices to protect data and applications

Tiered applications have specific IT requirements in order to ensure the proper functioning and service levels expected of the applications. Tier 1

applications have stringent requirements that may include specific recovery times and system

redundancies that are currently met with expensive proprietary systems. Many organizations are looking to cloud solutions to avoid the huge IT capital investments required.

Too many point solutions

Today, there are so many different solutions that only work for simple, highly specific use cases, such as for physical and virtual environments, for

moving, optimizing, and protecting workloads, etc. IT administrators rely on various point solutions, or expensive suites of products, to manage, replicate, migrate, and protect data and applications in both the physical and virtual machine environments. This causes IT sprawl, over-complexity, and drains human resources.

Rovius Enables Private Clouds for

VMware environments

Rovius is compatible with VMware infrastructure, including VMware vCenter and vCloud Director, to support your existing VMware investment. Rovius empowers VMware administrators to:

Replicate (as often as every 30 seconds) and migrate data and applications from site to site

(physical/cloud to physical/cloud)

With Rovius, a vCenter-enabled physical data center and vCloud-enabled cloud data center can easily replicate the data, applications, and VMs between on-premise and cloud data centers.

Enable recovery time objectives (RTOs) of 5 minutes or less

Rovius enables IT administrators to rapidly

orchestrate data/application workload recovery from any service outage.

Preserve Protection Group consistency with VMware vApp and Clustering

IT administrators can use the logical grouping capabilities of Protection Group with vApp and Clustering to ensure consistent protection of critical VM and resident application and data.

Rapidly failback with built-in “split brain” resolution and reverse synchronization

Rovius reviews the target environment with the source in order to check for any delta changes since the last replication process. The “split brain”

resolution occurs to ensure resolution of the replicas with the originating source, before failback
