Introduction
FedEx Ship Manager is the single source
for all of your shipping needs.
Timesaving Features
FedEx Ship Manager offers the best in performance and shipping with FedEx. When you ship packages,
be sure to use these timesaving features:
Help/Support
If you require additional assistance, FedEx strives to provide you with the best support to ship, track and
process all your shipments.
Sender/Recipient Shipping Preferences
FedEx Ship Manager allows you to set up shipping profiles to customize your shipping preferences. Shipping preferences automatically enters information into the correct fields for your shipments, so there’s less information to type. FedEx Ship Manager comes configured with default U.S. and international shipping profiles. You can, however, modify the default profiles at any time. You can also select certain shipping preferences for individual recipients in the recipient database.
Address Book
When you ship to a new recipient, you can automatically add the recipient to the Address Book when you ship your package. Make sure to select the Save in/Update my address book check box. Once you add a recipient to the Address Book, select the recipient and the recipient’s information automatically fills in your shipping screen.
Do you need help finding the recipient ID for your shipment? To search the Address Book, click the Binoculars beside Recipient ID on the shipping screen. Enter information about the recipient, including wild card characters, and then click Search. Select the recipient in Search Results and click Ship to.
Auto Populate Recipient’s City and State
The auto populate feature eliminates keystrokes to save you valuable time. When your system is set up to auto populate, enter the recipient’s ZIP code and the city and state fill in for you. If more than one city matches the ZIP code and state, select the recipient’s city from the drop-down menu. To enable the auto populate feature, first modify System Settings on the Customize menu.
Return Shipment
FedEx Ship Manager helps you handle return shipments efficiently. Print or send return shipping labels through e-mail using FedEx Express®or
FedEx Ground®return service types. You can also process a FedEx Ground®Call Tag to pick up a return shipment at your customer’s location.
Hold File
The Hold File is a central holding place that saves shipment information. The Hold File is perfect for pending or repeated shipments. Once you save a shipment to the Hold File, you can edit, ship or duplicate it at any time. To begin using the Hold File, first enable it by modifying your System Settings on the Customize menu. After you enable the Hold File, toggle between the Hold File lookup and Recipient ID buttons.
Close
By default, FedEx Ship Manager is set up to automatically close FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipments. You can, however, change the auto close times in your System Settings. You can close both FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipments manually on the same screen at the same time or you can close your shipments separately. If you have multiple systems or accounts on the same PC, you can also close all systems and accounts on the same screen, or you can close the systems and accounts separately.
