WELCOME TO TURNINGPOINT CLOUD!

TurningPoint Cloud combines seamless polling with PowerPoint® (PowerPoint Polling), over top of any application (Anywhere Polling), and self-paced tests, evaluations and surveys (Self-Paced Polling). Conduct real-time assessments to track progress (Results Manager) and instantly view results and collect valuable data all from one easy-to-use application.

TurningPoint Cloud provides cloud management of users and participant lists while effortlessly integrating with other organization-adopted solutions to accelerate learner success. Currently, cloud management is computer-specific, however development is rapidly expanding to build parity and syncing between the desktop and the cloud.

Both instructors and participants are required to have a Turning Account, which provides a unique identifier for each user that is tied to all software accounts and response devices. In addition to the Turning Account, participants are required to have a Turning Account license and may also be required to have a ResponseWare Presentation license.

IMPORTANT

A Turning Account license is mandatory for each participant. If a participant does not purchase a Turning Account license, his or her score will show as an asterisk in all TurningPoint Cloud participant reports. Furthermore, his or her score will export as "0" to an Excel workbook and will not be exported to an LMS.

New Features

l Enhanced Security - Security additions include software login protection and encryption of participant and session

data.

l Secure Login/Accounts - A secure sign in process has been incorporated into the software, requiring participants and

instructors to create Turning Accounts, which will generate unique IDs for each user.

l Encrypted Data - Industry standard AES-128 encryption ensures that if a non-authenticated user obtains a file from the

Turning Technologies database, data will not be accessible. Encrypted files require the file owner to login to view data.

l Streamlined Registration Process - Available for both participants and instructors, Turning Accounts leverage

secure, centralized management of courses, participant lists and assessment data. One sign in will access both Turning Accounts and ResponseWare.

l LTI Connection/LMS Integrations - Both manual tools for participant list management and Learning Tools

Interoperability (LTI) integrations with popular Learning Management Systems (LMS) for on-demand account setup are available.

l Accelerated Updates and Enhancements - The TurningPoint Cloud platform enables the Turning Technologies

What’s New in TurningPoint Cloud?

Turning Account

TurningPoint Cloud requires instructors to sign in to protect participant and session data privacy. Instructors sign in to

TurningPoint Cloud with their own Username and password, which stores a unique repository of data specific to the individual -including sessions, participant lists and backup information.

Participant Account

Participants are required to have a Turning Account (Username and password) to register their response device(s). In addition to the Turning Account, participants are required to obtain a Turning Account license.

Encryption

l Participant list and session file encryption unique to each instructor's Turning Account

l Local storage of encrypted Turning Account information for offline authentication and sign in (requires initial online

authentication for storage)

l Separate instructor file access preventing instructors from exposure to other users participant and session files l Optional ability to export and share participant lists and session files via password protection

Reporting Enhancements

l New Team Points Report displays team scores by either question or team member

l New Demographic Comparison Report compares multiple demographic filters on the same report for all questions

asked in a single session

l Easily copy data directly from the reports window and paste into other formats l Simultaneously export different session reports to Excel

l Display all responses for Short Answer and Numeric Response questions in the Results by Question report

Support for New Turning Technologies Response Options l QT Device

l ResponseWare 2.0

l ResponseWare 2.0 and ResponseCard bundle, allowing the merging of response data from multiple devices used by

the same participant in one session

Real-Time Registration option to permanently save Device IDs to participant list

Enhanced Messaging interface between instructor and participants (Anywhere and PowerPoint Polling), enabling back-channel chat capabilities when used with ResponseWare

Convert ExamView tests and CPS export files to TurningPoint Cloud question lists

“New Session” has been removed from the default session file name. Session files now save with only the file name time stamp.
