About Us

UCLA Physician Informaticists are board-certifi ed practicing physicians in various medical specialties. In 2013, UCLA Health successfully implemented one of the largest Go-Live of the Epic electronic health record (EHR). Our team has gained extensive experience and we’d like to share that with you by providing problem-solving solutions targeted to your needs.

About UCLA Health

UCLA Health includes four hospitals and more than 150 community offi ces throughout Southern California. UCLA’s EHR is accessed by more than 20,000 users, including more than 3,000 physicians.

UCLA Health has been recognized for its achievements in health informatics:

Achieved Stage 7 designation in the inpatient

setting by HIMSS Analytics within the fi rst year of EHR deployment

Successfully demonstrated Stage 1 Meaningful

Use for both inpatient and outpatient EHR use within the fi rst year of implementation

Achieved Leapfrog Computerized

Physician Order Entry (CPOE) certifi cation

• Designated “Most Wired” by

Hospitals & Health Networks

UCLA Physician Informaticists are:

Board-certifi ed in their specialties, board-certifi ed

Act as liaisons between your physicians and IT

• Train physicians in preparation for Go-Live, support physicians during Go-Live, and teach optimization classes to physicians aft er Go-Live

Make recommendations on complicated medical

student and resident/fellow workfl ows

Develop workfl ows that adhere to regulatory and

fi nancial reporting programs such as Meaningful Use and Core Measures

Analyze effi ciency and use of the EHR to identify

areas of optimization, including use of clinical decision support tools
