The Travelers EDGE scholarship award is made possible through the generosity of The Travelers Companies and is aimed at preparing students for careers in the insurance and financial services industry. Travelers has a wide variety of career options (see majors listed below). Approximately five (5) awards of $6,000 each will be distributed. Awards are generally split evenly between fall and spring semesters. In addition to the financial assistance for tuition, Travelers EDGE Scholars receive individualized support from Pathways Program staff, a mentor from Travelers, and many opportunities to grow professionally.

NOTE: If you are selected as a finalist, you will be contacted for a specific date and time to interview with the Travelers EDGE Scholarship selection committee. Interviews are generally conducted in July.
Scholarship Recipients’ Responsibilities – Requirements to Keep Scholarship
There are many benefits to being a Travelers EDGE Scholar. It is important that the scholars at Metropolitan State University take full advantage of the services and opportunities available to them.As a Travelers EDGE Scholarship recipient you will be required to:
1. Attend the EDGE Scholar orientation session at the beginning of fall semester
2. Meet for individual check-ins with the Pathways Program Career Specialist a minimum of three times each semester (before scholarship disbursement, at midterm, and before finals)
3. Complete career development assignments – scholars will be provided a syllabus
4. Participate in Travelers EDGE sponsored programs/events including the Travelers EDGE Mentorship Program
5. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
