Abstract: In this paper we have proposed a model of OTP based locker. Security describes protection of life and property. To protect our valuable belongings we keep them in a Locker. Locker are used everywhere in home, offices, banks, hotels, shops, malls etc. Mostly the lockers are key based or by some security codes or mechanical linkages. There are more chances to make the duplicate keys, break such passwords to open the lockers. In proposed system when we are opening the locker, the controller will first ask to enter the password. When entered password is correct then controller will send the randomly generated six digits OTP & then user will have to enter the OTP. Then & then only locker will open. If at any stage the entered password is wrong the user will get message on registered mobile that “someone has tried to open the locker”. Thus it gives a two way security aspect. The system is designed using 8051 based microcontroller & simulated on Proteus.

In life the people gives more importance to the Security. The people keep their important documents, jewelry & other valuables in the bank lockers, but most of the time it is inconvenient to go to the banks. To avoid this lockers are purchased & kept at houses, offices hotels, malls etc. But there are many chances of opening thy lockers. [3]
The proposed model for safe & smart locking system can be used at homes, banks, shops, malls, hotels etc., Here the system is designed using 8051 based microcontroller 89C51. The keypad is interfaced to the controller to enter the password. It is a two way password protected locker. User has to first enter the four digits password. If the password is correct then on users registered mobile user will get the six digits OTP. Then system will ask user to enter the OTP if OTP is matched then locker will open. The system uses dc motor to open & close the lock. When the dc motor rotates forward the locker will open & when the dc motor will rotate reverse the locker will close.

Available Online at www.ijpret.com 1138 As it have many advantages over the others. GSM is widely available in our country. Many operators are available in the market & virtually no distance limitations.[1]
GSM networks operate in a number of different carrier frequency ranges (separated into GSM frequency ranges for 2G and UMTS frequency bands for 3G), with most 2G GSM networks operating in the 900 MHz or 1800 MHz bands. Where these bands were already allocated, the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz bands were used instead (for example in Canada and the United States). In rare cases the 400 and 450 MHz frequency bands are assigned in some countries because they were previously used for first-generation systems.
Most 3G networks in Europe operate in the 2100 MHz frequency band. For more information on worldwide GSM frequency usage, see GSM frequency band.[3]
Today’s GSM platform is living, growing and evolving and already offers an expanded and feature-rich ‘family’ of voice and multimedia services, we can also use this for biomedical enhanced developed fields, so we have using the multimedia service for control any kind of device globally via GSM modem which can be controlled by AT commands using the embedded systems.
The heart of the system is microcontroller. The microcontroller is interfaced with the GSM model SIM 300 through the level shifter MAX 232.

The matrix keypad is interfaced with the microcontroller to enter the password. LCD display will display the messages like Enter the password, Entered password is wrong. The ULN 2003 driver is used to drive the DC motor. When both the entered passwords are matched the controller will give command to the motor to rotate. The clockwise rotations of motor will open the locker & anticlockwise rotations of motor will close the locker. The locker will open for two minutes only. After two minutes the locker will close automatically. [2][4][5]
IV. Circuit Diagram:-
The circuit diagram of the proposed system is as follows.

Figure 4 Flow Chart for Vibration
Available Online at www.ijpret.com 1141 the mobile number which is stored in microcontroller. It waits again for the SW1 to be pressed. When we press the switch it request for one time password (OTP).
If the OTP is correct then and then only the door is open. Then after we press the switch SW2 the door gets closed. If we enter wrong password the microcontroller gives us three chances, then the microcontroller send message to the mobile number stored in microcontroller that ‘Someone has Entered Wrong Password’.
VI. CONCLUSION:-
The proposed model represents an inexpensive OTP based locker system. A number of literatures related to the topic of control systems and automation were reviewed and analyzed. According to the proposed model, the system is very useful & robust as GSM is used no chances of OTP duplication, hence more reliable. And if anybody attacks on the locker the vibration sensor will sense the vibrations controller will inform to the user.
