The offered courses
It is possible to attend different programmes.
“American English Program” (AEP) : 10 students max. per class, written and oral tests, 55 minutes per lesson, certificate at the end of the programme.
- “Rapid progress 30” (30 hours per week): it is the most intensive programme, with 6 hours of lesson per day, in order to increase the knowledge of listening, reading, writing, with a particolar attention on conversational skills.
- “Rapid progress 20” (20 hours per week): a half-intensive programme to obtain quick progress, and also a lot of time for extra-scholastic activities.
- “Vacation N Learn” (16 hours per week): a flexible programme for those who want to increase their English while enjoying tourism.
- “Business English” (20 hours per day): The unique programme with a level intermediate or advanced, to learn and improve conversational skills in business. A lot of classes focused on sales and marketing, leadership, investments, etc.
“Exam Preparation Courses”: preparationto the exam of English language
- “TOEFL Success” (20 hours per week): preparation to the TOEFL, a test which permits to be admitted in Colleges and Universities in North America. 4 hours per day. We will help you also with the test inscription.
- “Cambridge Exams” (28 hours per week): intensive preparation to the exam for the Cambridge University, FCE (First Certificate Exam) and CAE (Certificate of Advanced English).

“Professional English program”: programs only in New York, for professionals who want to improve their communication skills in English in a limited time.
- “Professional Group”: an intensive program (6 hours a day, 30 hours per week), or semi-intensive (3 hours a day, 15 hours per week).
- “Professional Private Classes with Your Personal Instructor”: more personal and a more effective way to progress in a limited time, 30 hours per week full time or 15 hours per week part time.
- “Professional Combination”: Participants meet for 15 hours per week group and 15 hours per week for private lessons.
- “Professional English for special purpose”: courses in sales and marketing, or law, 15 hours per week.
- “Advanced Conversatoin Elective”: Conversational courses and written at an advanced level for the business world: 8 hours a week.
- “E-mail and telephone follow-up courses”: a formula to continue to keep improving your English after returning home, with follow-up e-mails or telephone conversations with your favorite teacher.
“Career Preparation
- TESOL Certificate Course/Teacher Training” (max. 10 weeks)
The SIT TESOL Certificate course is a worldwide recognized TESOL training created by the World Learning School for International Training Graduate Institute. This course is ideal for teachers and those who want to become an English teacher in their country of origin. This intensive course will give you the opportunity to acquire a perfect balance between the theory of TESOL with the skills necessary to become a real ESL teacher in the USA or abroad.
“The Arts plus English”: programs only in New York with the opportunity to combine English language study with an artistic aspect.
- “Cooking Fundamentals/ English” (2 weeks) : This introduction course is conceived to build your English skills around a nice kitchen and cooking
- “Make up Artistry Certificate/English” (7 weeks with the course on a Saturday or nine weeks 9-week course on Tuesdays and Wednesdays): Master the art of professional make-up and application techniques under the guidance of the best make-up experts in the field, 50 hours of classroom course. It is at a beauty salon, these small classes are made to
focus on the proper use of application tools, color theory, highlighting, contouring and -

- “Music /English”: develop your musical skills with this program of music one-to-one at the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music. Combine English classes with the music!
Education of your instrument of choice, songs or composition.
- “Short-Term Digital Filmmaking/ English” (4 weeks) : a 4-week movie program that allows students from high intermediate to advanced level, to learn English while exploring the exciting world of cinema. Students attend English classes and the New York Film Academy for writing, shooting, directing and editing digital movies
- “Super-intensive movie making / English” (8 weeks): an intense programme of cinema that is open to students from upper intermediate to advanced level. Four weeks "Rapid Progress 30", then four weeks at the New York Film Academy. The completed films will be shown to students and staff of the NYFA.
- “Super-intensive Acting/English” (8 weeks): 4 weeks of "Rapid Progress 30" and 4 weeks of tests to NYFA where it runs in a series of films. An advanced level of English is required. - “Fashion /English”: a program that gives you the opportunity to take courses in fashion and
the LIM courses Rapid Progress of English 20, in the heart of the city of New York. there are two formule : “Fashion intensive / English”, which last 4 weeks, and “Fashion Saturdays / English”, which last 7 weeks.
- “Dance / English”: 3 different programmes that take place in 3 main schools of dance in New York, for the dancers to a professional who want to try something new.
• “Latin and Ballroom Danse / English”, to learn the salsa, bachata and tango or dance hall classics (rumba, cha cha ...) during 4 weeks
