ABSTRACT: The purpose of the study was to estimation of adjustment of male Gymnasts at
different level of performance for achieving the purpose of the study, data was collected on total 180 male gymnasts from Haryana and Punjab State. The age of all player range between 17 to 24 years. To check the adjustment level of male gymnasts at different level. Adjustment test Sinha & Singh’s AKS was used. The result showed that there was significant different between National Vs Inter-universities and Inter College male gymnast No significant difference between inter- varsity, college level in respectively to Health Adjustment of male gymnasts.

INTRODUCTION
strength, suppleness, agility, co-coordination and body control. Llowelim and Blucher (1987), psychology is also concerned with the total well being the personal adjustment of those involved in sports. Psychologists are concerned with behavioral understanding, exploring and ever predicting.
According to Webster’s Ninth new Collegiate dictionary (1987), adjustment is “to adopt or conform onself (as to climate food or new working hours(“ or “to achieve mental and behavioural balance between one’s own needs and demands of other”. In other dictionaries adjustment is a mean “to fit”, “to make correspondent”, “to adapt”, or “to accommodate.”
It is clear that adjustment is a continuous process rather than a static goal by which a living organism maintain a balance between its needs and circumstances that influences the satisfaction of these needs. .
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:
To investigate the difference among different level of male Gymnasts in adjustment level.
PROCEDURE AND METHODOLOGY:
Table No. 1
MEANS AND STANDARD DEVIATIONS OF MALE GYMNASTS FOR EMOTIONAL ADJUSTMENT AT DIFFERENT LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE

III. Inter –college. 3.33 1.81
Table No.1 shows that significant differences exist between the two groups i.e. National, Intervarsity and Inter-college male gymnasts. The ‘t’ ratio between National and Intervarsity, National and Inter-college gymnasts 7.23 and 4.80 are significant at 0.01 level of confidence. The table also indicates that they are having significant difference with regards to emotional adjustment. The ‘t’ value among the Intervarsity and Inter-college (‘t’ = 1.96) shows that no significant difference exist among these two groups. In adjustment high scores indicate lack of adjustment. Further examination of mean scores of emotional adjustment shows their exist in significance in the various groups. It is found that various groups such as National level gymnasts (M=2.37) have better emotional adjustment as compared to intervarsity gymnasts (M=2.73). Further the Inter-college level gymnasts too have high scores in emotional adjustment i.e. M=3.33 as compared the National and Intervarsity level gymnasts.

Intervarsity, National and Inter-college, Intervarsity and Inter college, level gymnasts regarding social adjustment with ‘t’ value 10.90., 3.59 and 7.96, respectfully and all ‘t’ values significantly at 0.01 level. In adjustment high scores indicate lack of adjustment among the players. Further when examination of mean scores were made. It shows that made male gymnasts have significant difference among the groups it is also found in social adjustment of various group by Table that national level gymnasts (M=2,40) have better adjustment among all the groups as compared with Intervarsity (M=4.60). Inter-college (M=3.05), Similarly Inter college level gymnasts have better mean scores (M=3.05). Intervarsity level gymnasts (m=4.60) respectively. This indicates that groups have better social adjustment with other groups.

Table No.4 shows that significant difference exists among the National level male gymnasts and other two group i.e. Intervarsity, Inter-college in respect of home adjustment with ‘t’ ratio of 4.38 & 7.96. The ‘t’ ratio is significant at 0.01 level in all these variable i.e. home adjustment. In adjustment high scores indicates that lack of adjustment. The mean scores reveals that there is significant difference found in all the groups. The ‘t’ ratio of 4.38 of National level gymnasts indicates that they are better in home adjustment in comparison to Intervarsity & Inter-college level gymnasts. The National level mean scores 3.20 is lower than the other groups i.e. Intervarsity & Inter-college level gymnasts. The National level mean scores 3.20 is lower than the other groups i.e. Intervarsity & Inter-college level gymnast 3.28 & 4.21. All these mean scores, compared with each other, are indicating that National level gymnasts are better in home adjustment as compared with their counter parts i.e. Intervarsity & Inter-college level male gymnasts in the above cited table.

male gymnasts; National and Inter-college level gymnasts; in respect of Health adjustment with ‘t’ values 2.00 & 2.08 significant difference exists at 0.05 level. The ‘t’ value for other groups i.e. Intervarsity and Inter-college level gymnasts which reveals that no significant difference exists amongst these groups. The ‘t’ value 0.53 confirm these results.
When examination of the mean scores were made in health adjustment of the various groups that male gymnasts have better health adjustment (M=5.96) belongs to National followed by Intervarsity (M=6.67) than Inter-college (M=6.91). These mean scores are higher than National level groups. In Health adjustment low scores indicate satisfactory adjustment. The subjects scoring high trend to be unsatisfactory adjustment towards their Health adjustment.
DISCUSSION OF RESTULS:
Significant differences were found in National gymnasts who scored better in emotional adjustment when compared with Intervarsity & Inter-college gymnasts. The result further reveals that Inter-college male gymnasts are less adjusted as the compared with Intervarsity.
In social adjustment, it is found that National level male gymnasts have better social adjustment as and when compared with Intervarsity & Inter-college level participates. Similarly Inter-college level are more socially adjusted against gymnasts of Intervarsity.
The Intervarsity male gymnasts have better educational adjustment, against the National & Inter-college gymnasts. Similarly Inter-College level gymnasts were better in educational adjustment as compared with National level gymnasts.
The results of Home & Health adjustment variables also reveal that National level male gymnasts scored better than other two groups. The National level gymnasts are better home & health adjustment subjects followed by Intervarsity & Inter-college level gymnasts.
In conclusion gymnasts at higher levels i.e. National and Intervarsity are having significant differences in adjustment level. The higher level of participation make them to be more outgoing to have better relations with others; they are confident as they are performing in front of spectators in typical kind of dress and travel to many other parts and places for competitions. On the other hand, the lower level male gymnasts, did not get more opportunity to participate with the results they are getting less chance to develop these psychological characteristics. Similarly Biddulph (1954), Krok and Larson (1970), Manju (2005), Maya (2007) supported the findings that participants in sports are better adjustable and good adjustment is positively related with sports performance. The findings of this study confirm the results of the above mentioned authors.
