This Amigurumi Maneki Neko (Lucky Cat) Pattern created by Rabbiz Design. The fi nished size of each

1.1* Head Pattern for A and B:

Description: Use yellow yarn to begin crocheting the head

pattern for A and B, black yarn for C. Then, do yarn color changing between yellow/black and white as mentioned in the pattern. Stuff fi berfi ll before working on Rnd 29. Leave about ½ foot long tail after fi nish.

Description: Use red/green yarn to begin working on the

collar pattern with 38 chains, crochet “36 hdc” on chain begin from the 3rd chain from hook. Insert golden bell after

fi nish the fi rst 18 hdc and continue crocheting the rest 18 hdc. (See photos)

Follow photos illustrated to fi nish the cat’s collar. Leave 1/2 foot long tail before begin and after fi nish for assembly.

6* Tail Pattern:

Description: Use black yarn to embroider stripes on paw

and thigh before attach them to the body. Make a knot at the end of the yarn tail before begin.

Description: Use yellow/black yarn

to begin working on the tail pattern with magic ring. Leave 1 foot long tail after fi nish for assembly.

Pull black yarn from the inside through the gap between yellow and white part and embroider 2 stripes as shown in photos above

E m b r o i d e r 2 black stripes on each thigh, tie the yarn tail behind the thigh secure-ly. Do the same with tail part. Pull black yarn through yarn needle,

make a knot at the end of the tails.

Description: Use red yarn to embroider claws stripes on the

tips of paws and claws.

7.2* Embroider Claws:

the Paw

Pull yarn needle with red yarn (make a knot at the end of yarn tail) from the lower part to upper part through the tip of the paw between Rnd 3-4 from begin. Then, insert yarn needle from the lower part through the upper part again with 2 stitches away from previous position. Finally, secure the rest of the red yarn with beginning position of the claws. Roll the tip of paw down and tie it with white yarn securely (follow photos)

Embroider red claws on normal paw without rolling down the tip of the pow. Tie yarn tail left from embroidering on the lower part of the paw

Embroider claws on claws part, hide the red yarn left from embroi-dering inside the claws.

Description: Stuff fi berfi ll to raised and normal paws. Sew

up hole on normal paw before attach it to the body.

Description: Use black yarn, black embroidery fl oss, and red

embroidery fl oss to decorate cat’s head & face.

Shape fi berfi ll into tube shape and stuff it into the raised paw, ready for assembly with body part

Pull black yarn from ear position through forehead position, embroi-der 3 stripes on the forehead and pull the left of yarn tail through position near the beginning of embroidering. Shape fi berfi ll into tube shape and

stuff it into the normal paw. Then, sew up hole on the paw with white yarn left from crocheting. Now, nor-mal paw is ready for assembly with body part Rnd 2 of head pattern 2 sts wide, 1 st gap 1 sts 5 sts 3 sts 3 sts 4 sts 4 sts 3 sts Face-up Positions

Embroider eyebrows and eyes with black embroidery fl oss (repeat embroidering eyes 3-4 times to form thick eyelines), pull the rest of fl oss through ear position

Use red embroidery fl oss to embroider lips, follow photos illustrated. Pull fl oss through lips position loosely in order to form half circle shape lips later. You can use a bit “all purpose glue” to help shaping lips.

Attach ear to head, using red and yellow yarn tail left from crocheting follow photos illustrated.

Then, embroider whisk on cheek with black embroidery fl oss.

7.5* Assemble Body:

Pin paws, thighes, claws to the body to see suitable positions for each cats before attach each part together

Description: Begin with assembling thigh beside the belly.

First of all, insert yarn needle with yarn tail left from crocheting thigh through the stitch beside the last stitch of thigh. Then, put the thigh to position on left and right side. Let the upper of it pinned between Rnd 19-20 of body’s pattern

Sew up claws be-tween thigh and body, hide yarn tail left from as-sembling through the thigh.

Embroider 2 black stripes on the long part and then at-tach tail to the bottom of the body. Sew up long part to the front stitch of body pattern’s Rnd 6, stitch by stitch. Then, sew up the shorter part to the body securely.

Attach both paws, hide yarn tail left from assembling through the neck part. Sew up normal paw to belly for Maneki Neko A and B.

7.6* Assemble Body and Head:

Description: Put the head on the neck part of the body,

pin them together, using sewing pin. Then, use yarn tail left from crocheting the body to sew up head and body together stitch by stitch securely. Pull yarn tail left through the back of the neck and cut off .

Note: Once you’ve fi nish crocheting the body, you can select which side should be the front side so that the cat’s head tilts naturally.

Put the collar on the cat’s neck. Insert yarn tails left from crocheting the col-lar to secure both ends together. Let’s the golden bell hanging on the middle of cat’s neck.
