Happy New Year…

With the holidays over, I typically ponder how well I will “winter” this

year? But in the few years that I have been privileged to come to

work at our center everyday, it does not matter which season it is

be-cause it is always pleasant here! There are such delightful “nuggets of

pleasantness” all around to distract the ills of the day! I see them in your

faces or words kindly spoken. I hear your friendships as you go about

your activities or volunteer duties. I see new members finding the center

and pleased with their discovery. Such a necessary distraction we have

going here! Left to our own worries and cares, life can sometimes be

troubling. But striving to be aware of the happy things around us can

de-tach us from some of those troubles and often in the process make a

positive difference in someone else’s day. Thank you for being the best

members ever and for caring enough to make that difference. If I could, I

would “toast” to that!

A GRATEFUL HEART

Everyday that we wake up healthy, we’re grateful. When the sun is shining, we

are grateful, and so on. Or at least we should be.

The following is from Woman’s World Magazine:

You are rich beyond measure, cash flow may vary, but life brings us a constant

stream of blessings, possibilities and opportunities. Every single sunrise gives us

something more precious than any jackpot: a brand new day, and the best things

in life are still free.

Have a wonderful New Year!
