Premium Maltese Wines
Although most of Malta’s wines are entry level, there are some producers which strive to harvest the best available grapes to deliver noteworthy products, both whites and reds. Some producers, as Marsovin Winery, take inspiration from French wines and use blends typical of the Bordeaux region (i.e. Cabernet Sauvignon, Franc and Merlot). Others, as Meridiana Wine Estate, have a close collaboration with the Antinori house in Tuscany, acquiring valuable and unique wine making skills. Maria Rosa Estate in Attard, in the centre of the island, is a small, family run winery with carefully selected products and personalized, detailed and limited wine making processes
