Extensive industry experience
In Greater China, we have a spectrum of clients across a variety of industries, including Financial Service, Public Sector, Manufacturing, Communication and Media, Resource and Utilities. Most of the testing activities are a part of the larger SI or ADM contracts. However with the increase complexity and sophistication of enterprise systems, demands of the Digital businesses, desire to improve speed to market, and the damage to corporate image should production defects arise – the appetite for cost effective, high quality testing service is big. Our focus is on engaging long term partnership with our clients, adhering to our message of end-to-end quality strategy as a way to drive cost saving through quality and productivity improvements.
Accenture has a dedicated pool of senior resources with extensive testing experience in Greater China who are ready to provide services in test governance, strategic direction and program test management. We are capable of ramping up onshore and offshore test teams in a short period of time, either in partnership with client teams, or in a fully outsourced or managed service model, at the same time leveraging our extensive global TCoE network for support and experience.
Our experience in China ranges from conducting discrete testing to performing testing as part of the SI and AO engagements. We have also established Digital CoE and TCoE, delivering End-to-End eComerce, architecture, Content Management, and SAP solutions. We perform application functional test, test automation and performance testing. We have the breadth and depth of experience and knowledge, drawing upon our local and global resources, to consult on targeted initiatives including (but not limited to) delivery metrics, test strategy, test automation, Continuous Delivery practice establishment, Agile Coach placement services right through to fully managed and outcome - based testing centres. This software and services provider experienced poor quality and prolonged certification process for the applications. Accenture Digital Delivery Team operated Certification Test Center to strategize and implement Test Assessment, Test Processes and conduct Certification testing.
Automation was used to reduce cycle length and improve quality. Vigorous Regression Test cycles were introduced to further improve test quality.

This international insurance company with Asian headquarter in Greater China faced Quality and slow Speed to Market issues. Lack of testing framework, tools and processes hindered growth and production issues impacted business operations.
Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) was set up in two China Delivery Center locations to perform Application Test Planning and Execution. Manual testing was replaced by Automation in the Regression test area. Accenture was part of the client’s Technology Transformation program in which TCoE is utilized among programs. Working with the client, we coordinated with stakeholders to plan and execute various stages of testing (System, Integration, UAT)

This Leading Life Insurance Company experienced quality issues in production. Immature processes over SDLC including Testing had negative impact to budget and schedule.
Accenture brought end-to-end test strategy, planning, execution, metrics and reporting to the client. We utilized a 20/80 on/off shore model to control cost. Automation was brought in to improve efficiency and consistencies among test stages. Test Center was ramped up and reached maturity within one year and consistently yielded positive output.
The result is improved software quality; over 97% of defects were discovered and fixed before production implementation. Projects were delivered within +/- 5% variance.
