Our services

Objectives

We look forward to discussing your overall objectives: We determine your current situation, identify specific market goals, develop your market positioning, assess the needs and requirements of your target group and the definitive objectives for the months ahead, clearly specifying what we plan to do and when.

PR strategy

We assemble all objectives and requirements in one integrated PR concept, incorporating our key messages and communication channels. Our detailed communication plan integrates individual themes, clearly defining which audience will be targeted and when.

Target groups

Your target audience determines our distribution list, key media and communication channels as well as the content of press information.

(7)

… and more

Press and journalist trips

We organise group and individual press trips for selected journalists to let them experience and learn more about your product. The current trend is to focus more on press trips (blogger, individual and groups) in order to maximise the outcome and quality of publications for you.

Media visits

Some editorial teams are happy to welcome visitors from PR agencies, while others aren't. We know where we and our clients will receive a warm welcome.

Journalist invitations

Our press invitations are an appropriate personal

presentation forum and ensure that effective contacts with journalists are maintained.

Press conferences

We also organise traditional press conferences if there is important news to report.

Radio and TV coverage

Radio programmes and TV channels use individual formats. For this reason, more than just our ideas, plans and strategies are required. It is important to know the respective formats and responsible editors and production companies who are willing to create a travel programme with and for you.

(8)

Social media

Social media

Journalists, consumers, your guests and customers all use these platforms to communicate.

Twitter & Facebook

We use our AHM PR accounts on Twitter and Facebook to share and consolidate your corporate news. We are happy to support your social media presence by providing posts in German.

Blogs

Bloggers have an ever-increasing influence. Many target groups get their information here and use the blogs for their research or as a daily source of information.

Different blog(ger)s, different target groups: we select our blogger relations e.g. travel blogs, hotel blogs, golf blogs, lifestyle blogs …

(9)

Our services for journalists

We want your story to be published

We understand the importance of presenting outstanding theme topics, special "taglines", story angles and research ideas to simplify the work of the editorial offices. We create individual and customised offers for print media, as well as for TV, radio and new generation / online media, such as apps and blogs.

The media database and

personal contact with the media

Our database contains details of around 4,000 journalists, editors and editors-in-chief, bloggers and writers in Germany of all important daily and weekly newspapers and

magazines as well as trade media, TV, radio, blogs and online media.

(10)

10

Press releases

It is important to supply journalists and editors with press releases on a regular basis.

Our press releases stand out from the many other mailings sent to the media. We attach great importance to a service-oriented approach. We issue press releases in the form of electronic newsletters and include several

illustrations. And that's not all: The image material is linked to our website and can, in addition to other images, be

downloaded by journalists directly and easily in printable quality.

Please see an example on the next page.

Internet presence

Our online presence for you

In the era of online editorial teams, social media and moving image material, our extensive, service-oriented homepage, www.hermann-meier.de, offers journalists direct, rapid access to our clients, thereby assisting their research. Journalists can find everything they need to know about our clients on our homepage – the essential "facts and figures", latest press releases as well as story angels. Our clients also receive a prominently-positioned link to their own

(13)

Photos

Images as a source of inspiration

The quality of the images supplied to editorial teams often determines whether and how a topic is published. It’s therefore crucial to build up an excellent image database covering all topics. Just as important is that photos and videos are quick to find, available in the correct data format and labelled so that they can be used easily in modern editorial systems.

(14)

14

Videos

Videos as a source of inspiration

The presence and importance of internet media are increasing continually. The demands placed on online editors simultaneously experiencing staff cutbacks are also on the rise. In addition to professional photos, online travel editorial teams are making increased use of our moving image material and are happy with this service.

Trade fairs

Trade fairs – ITB media event

One of the world's largest and most important tourism trade fairs, the ITB in Berlin is a central meeting point for travel journalists. We organise a large, well-attended media event during the ITB almost on annual basis. All our clients are represented and the event attracts around 200 journalists.

(16)

16

Agency receptions

We regularly invite the press to our events and enjoy the response and appreciation. We organise media receptions in the most important German media cities Munich,

Hamburg and Berlin, for example. These are great events for journalists and our clients, and are appreciated by all in addition to giving very good results in business terms. The journalists meet us personally and get to know what we plan together with our clients.

"There are countless PR agencies out there performing sound work. These dutifully announce the opening of new hotels, the inclusion of

destinations within product ranges or the planned introduction of a flight connection on behalf of their clients. Yet only a handful does more than this, delivering the stuff of stories. They know that it is the people behind the press release, the life stories from the destination or an unusual perspective which constitute the ingredients which transform a

respectable travel report into an excellent one. And Angelika Hermann-Meier and her team possess this decisive added spark, this creative thinking, like no other. I have worked as a journalist for almost 20 years, delivering travel stories as a freelancer and as editor of magazines including MERIAN, FÜR SIE, ELTERN and FIT FOR FUN as well as for weekly newspapers like the WELT AM SONNTAG, and we have enjoyed an excellent working relationship throughout the decades. Be it the Rockies, India, South Tyrol or the Med: perfect projects from conception to travel organisation, which left an ultimate feeling of satisfaction with everyone involved. Thanks and I look forward to our next collaboration!"

Verena Carl, a freelance journalist and writer specialising in travel, lifestyle and culture, Hamburg

"I've been working with the prestigious agency Angelika Hermann Meier PR for many years, whether as editorial board member for BUNTE, where I'm responsible for the entire lifestyle segment, or during past work for publications including AMICA, freundin and Vogue Business. Our collaboration has always been characterised by a high level of professionalism, speed (requests are processed immediately and also "outside normal business hours") and - something I'd like to emphasise particularly - an excellent grasp of journalistic interests. The image and text copy delivered is so flawless, created with extreme care and love of detail, that queries after the fact are usually unnecessary. During

interviews or shootings, an agency employee is always present in an advisory capacity, press trips are organised perfectly and with an eye for editorial efficiency, and networking and contact cultivation are top priorities. I have positive memories of each and every member of the Hermann-Meier PR team with whom I have had the privilege to work. The agency is passionate about providing services, a role it executes with consistency, impeccability and good humour.“

"You'll find it all on our website" is a sentence spoken by so many PR people these days. Passing the buck - that's just not on. Fortunately it's not the case with the team at Angelika Hermann-Meier PR. Its members are astute, fast, reliable and precise and also think like editors, as so many of them have worked "on the other side" for so long. A positive exception to the rule."

Peter Pfänder

Chief editor “abenteuer & reisen“ Travel magazine

"I'm a travel journalist who specialises in the fields of alpine sports, wellness and South-East Asia. I've been collaborating with the Angelika Hermann-Meier PR agency for over a decade - and I very much enjoy doing so, as our excellent working relationship is based on a host of factors which are hard to find in this industry. Contact with the agency employees is intense, friendly and witty, but never intrusive or

inconvenient. The level of expertise and cooperativeness is unusual, and demonstrated by the fact that each team member has approached me at some point with countless good ideas. Requests are processed at the speed desired by journalists - namely immediately. As a result, I wasn't surprised that the agency has once again been voted one of the ten best PR agencies. I'd give Angelika Hermann-Meier an A plus and a gold star any day."

"In my eyes, Angelika Hermann-Meier PR (AHM PR) has been one of Germany's absolutely top PR agencies for years. I've known Angelika Hermann-Meier and many of her employees personally over a long period of time. The press trips organised by the agency are always perfectly executed and tailored to the needs of the various media in an optimum manner. I work for the German Press Agency (dpa), leading dailies, various magazines from the economic journal CAPITAL to the culinary publication Der Feinschmecker, for all German and Swiss ski magazines and for ARD radio - in short, for diverse types of media. The different needs of print, online, TV and radio journalists are frequent stumbling blocks for many agencies - but not AHM PR. AHM PR recently organised my recent individual research trips to the USA and Austria: the planning was first-class and everything went off perfectly. As a result, the trips netted me a series of publications.

The entire team at AHM PR works with absolute professionalism; all queries and preferences are processed at speed and executed flawlessly. This is primarily due to the fact that this agency understands journalistic research requirements like only a handful of others. Not only is the team competent, but also invariably helpful and charming. Its members work perfectly, quickly and, above all, in a down-to-earth manner.

Their press releases are extremely informative and of high journalistic quality, while their agency events are exemplary.”

St. Anton am Arlberg

Martin Ebster, tourism director

"The St. Anton am Arlberg tourist association has maintained a close, successful working relationship with Angelika Hermann-Meier and her team of deeply committed PR professionals for 20 years. As Germany is our most important market, we greatly appreciate her knowledge, outstanding contacts and the excellent reputation the agency enjoys in the media world. The clipping results and the many professional

Vail Resorts, Inc.

Kelly Ladyga, director of corporate communications

"Angelika Hermann-Meier's dedication, professionalism and excellent results have prompted us to return to her public relations agency and develop our longest-standing relationship with any PR representative. Her knowledge of how the media works, relationships with the right journalists and attention to detail consistently result in a high volume of stories in media outlets throughout German-speaking Europe which brings

business to our resorts. She and her team continually look for new ways to promote our resorts, which in turn translates into an increase in business from our very important German-speaking markets."

Client references

Tannheimer Tal

Michael Keller, tourism director

"Both the owner of Angelika Hermann-Meier PR and the entire team work with extreme dedication, creativity and reliability and success for the Tannheimer Tal tourist association, which includes 15 four- and five-star hotels. The agency covers all areas of PR work in an extremely

professional manner. Contacts with the German-speaking media are outstanding, this emphasised by the high number of publications about our region, activities and events. We also very much appreciate the ITB media event organised annually by Angelika Hermann-Meier PR for all its clients. The fact that this is attended by around 200 journalists each year reveals the extent to which the agency is appreciated by media

representatives."

Somatheeram Ayurvedic Health Resort Jaison Arampankudy, CEO

"Angelika Hermann-Meier PR has been working for us since 1999 with great commitment, creativity and success. Both the owner and all other staff members are absolutely professional in their line of work. Press releases, press trips, collaborations with the media or other companies, the exposure at the ITB with our own agency media event - all of this is from our point of view, absolutely perfect for our requirements. This is underscored by the fact that the number of German guests in our hotel has risen dramatically since we started collaborating with this agency."
