The AIPLA Electronics and Computer Patent Law Summit, presented by AIPLA with the assistance of the Intellectual Property Section of the Colorado Bar Association, will be a fast-paced, one-day, multi-session seminar covering timely, advanced and emerging issues in United States Patent Law by nationally known practitioners and academia, as well as Judge Linn of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The session topics will include:

• Patent Reform Legislation • Opinion Practice

• Statutory Subject Matter and Bilski v. Kappos

• Appeals Before the BPAI, Writing Successful Appeal Briefs, and Pending Rule Changes

• Implementing ReExam in Litigation • Ethics

• Written Description Requirement

CLE credit

We are an approved provider by most states requiring CLE and have applied for credit for this meeting to all states requiring CLE. The number of credit hours will vary depending on the requirements of the individual state. For 50-minute states, up to 8.7 CLE credit hours, including 1.2 hours of Ethics credit, are being offered. Certificates of Attendance, Attendance Sign-in Rosters and all other CLE information for various states will be available at the Registration Desk.

The 2010 Electronic & Computer Patent Law Summit has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California (a 60-minute state) in the amount of 7.25 credit hours, including 1.0 hour of Ethics credit. AIPLA certifies that this activity confirms to the standards for approved education activities prescribed by the rules and regulations of the State Bar of California governing minimum continuing legal education.
