RAYMOND SCHOOL DISTRICT
PRESCHOOL PROGRAM Parent Lamb Reminder
Weekly News May 25, 2021
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
If you have not activated your PickUp Patrol accounts, please do so. It is
essential that this be done daily to ensure the safety and well being of everyone.
It is great having the entire student body together. Keeping our students, faculty and staff healthy is priority.
Getting started with PUP:
The PUP web app is free to parents and you can use it from your smartphone or computer.
PUP is not accessed through the app stores. Instead, you’ll simply add it to your phone’s home screen for easy access.
You should have received a registration email from PickUp Patrol with a link to set up your account, if not please email [email protected].
Please note: Fully remote students do not need to participate in the daily screening.
If you have any questions, please contact us here in the office at
[email protected] or PickUp Patrol at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Steve Woodward Principal

FALL REOPENING SURVEY
Fall Reopening Plan Input - We want to hear from you!
It's already time to start thinking about our reopening plan for the fall.
Parent and community input is an important part of the development of our reopening plan.
Please consider completing this very short survey - open to all parents/guardians and community members.
We're requesting responses by noon on Wednesday, June 2.
Additionally, we will be hosting a public forum at the June 2nd School Board meeting to invite feedback on the opening plan, as well.
We look forward to hearing from you! Thank you.
PLAYGROUND TIME - APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR
Please remember to dress your child in appropriate footwear for outside playground time (no flip flops or crocs).
STUDENT SERVICES PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Our Director of Student Services, Michael Hatfield is looking to form a parent advisory committee. If you are interested in partnering with him, please reach out via email at [email protected]. The goal is to develop another mechanism for parents to communicate with and advise the Director about ways to strengthen the overall programming and support throughout the district.
***RHS PHONE UPDATE***
During April break the phone system at RHS was upgraded. You are now able to call and use the automated system to connect to various departments, and voicemailboxes - including the absentee voice mailbox.
Thank you for your patience when calling over the past few months!
2021-2022 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATIONS AT LRES
NOTE: If students are currently enrolled in the Preschool program, the district will roll the student over to LRES for the Kindergarten program automatically, so there is NO NEED TO REGISTER. Please DO NOT register your child in the
Kindergarten program if they are already enrolled in the Preschool program! Thank you!
Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-2022 school year is now open on our website! Go to sau33.com and choose Lamprey River Elementary School under the schools tab. Once on our school site, choose the enrollment tab at the bottom and you will see the live link.
You can click on the link to begin the process.
Here is the direct link as well! https://registration.powerschool.com/family/gosnap.aspx?

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our office staff at (603) 895- 3117.
CONTACT UPDATE FOR TELEPHONE AND EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS
Over the holiday break we performed an upgrade to SwiftK12, the automated notification system that we use to send alerts out through telephone and email.
Parents, this past fall when you completed your returning student registration, you filled out at least two contact fields. Now, as a result of this upgrade, all notifications will be turned on for Student Contacts #1 and #2. You now also have the ability within the parent portal to edit the notifications that are sent to you.
This upgrade will help us ensure that the notification system is used efficiently, and that your contact information is accurate and up-to-date at all times.
Click here to see instructions on how to update your notification settings within Parent Portal.
GOOGLE CLASSROOM
Both teachers have released log in information for your child's Google account. Please check parent emails for log in information. It is important to help your child log into their accounts to ensure you don't have any difficulties. This is in preparation in case we should need to move to remote learning. In the event the District decided we need to move to remote learning, you will be using your child's Google account to access the preschool teacher's Google Classrooms. Thank you for your help!
FROM OUR SCHOOL NURSES UPDATED MARCH 16, 2021
Please click HERE for an important travel notice from our school nurses.ILLNESS PRECAUTION
To prevent further spread of the disease in the community, the Raymond School District asks that students, families and staff take the following precautions to prevent the spread of the disease:
Stay home if you have a fever or are not feeling well. Students should stay home from school should any new or unexplained illness, no matter how mild, develop.
This precaution is meant to keep all staff and students safe.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an
alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
Avoid close contact with others. When outside your home, please adhere to social distancing guidelines and keep a distance of at least 6 feet between yourself and others.
Wear a cloth face covering that covers your mouth and nose to protect others when in public areas.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
Keep your child home if there is a chance that he or she has recently come into contact with someone with COVID-19, and consult the NH DHHS as needed by calling 211.

REGISTRATION
Returning students, please go online and update your child’s registration information. You will need to go into PowerSchool annually to update your child’s information prior to the start of the school year. This ensures that we have accurate contact information in the event of an emergency. Instructions and direct links were sent out this week for parents to update information.
SCHOOL BUSES
When leaving the program, we are asking that parents do not pass the school buses, even after the children are loaded onto the bus. We want to ensure the safety of our students and staff members. Please wait for the school bus to close the doors and turn their flashing lights off before pulling out of the parking lot. Thank you for helping us keep our kids safe!
