Enrolling in Multi-Factor Authentication

1. Access Northwest United Federal Credit Union’s home page. 2. Select the link currently used to access NUFCU Home Banking.

3. From the login screen select the“Click here to enroll for Multi-Factor Authentication”.

If you attempt to type in the member number and security code without enrolling you will be prompted to answer a security question. Since these are not setup yet because you have not enrolled, there is no correct answer. Instead, you will see the error message:

Once you have successfully selected the“Click here to enroll for Multi-Factor Authentication”

link shown above, the following screen below will appear.

7. You will be prompted for your member number, pin number, and security code. Your pin number will be the password you currently use for NUFCU Home Banking. Your member number will be the same one you currently use to login in to NUFCU Home Banking. The security code is a random number/letter picture at the bottom of the screen.

8. Once you have successfully entered the member number and pin, select the Submit button.

The screen below will appear and will prompt you to select and answer security questions. It also allows you to create your own questions and answers. You have 10 minutes on this screen before it times out. NOTE: If the screen does time out it will take you back to the original login screen where you will need to select the enrollment link again and start over

11. As shown below you will see a box to create a security image. The security image can be any alpha-numeric combination you want it to be. It needs to be something that you recognize. There is a minimum and maximum length of your security image as indicated beneath the word Security Image.

12. Also on this screen you will see the option for Login Nickname. You are not required to enter a nick name.

13. Once you have completed this screen select the Submit button.

14. At this time you will be directed into your NUFCU Home Banking screen. You will see theMore Featuresoption at the top of the NUFCU Home Banking screen.

15. If you select the More Features button the screen below will appear. You will see a new button available to you labeled MFA. Use this button to access your MFA options.

16. If you want to change your security questions or answers, the security image, or the login nickname, you can do this by selecting the MFA button and the screen below will appear.

This allows the member to change the security questions, security image, and login nickname.

Logging into NUFCU Home Banking Once MFA Enrollment is Complete

1. First go to your credit union’s home page 2. Then select the link for NUFCU Home Banking 3. The login screen below will display

4. Type in your member number and security code (as shown in the box above) on this screen and select Sign-On

5. One of the security questions you selected during enrollment will pop up as shown on the screen below. Type your answer in the field provided.

7. On the above screen you will see the security image you selected during enrollment. As long as you recognize the security image, you know that you are going to the correct NUFCU Home Banking page and are not being redirected.

8. Also at the bottom of the screen you will see an option to register the computer. When a computer is registered, the system will recognize it and bypass the security question screen forthat

computer only. If you use a different computer, one of the five questions will pop-up to verify that you are the authorized user. Do not register the computer unless it is used almost exclusively by you. For instance, if you occasionally access your homebanking at an "Internet Café", you would not want to register that computer as many other people have access to it.

9. Please note that if you do not use homebanking for 30 days, you will be required to complete the enrollment process again. Additionally, if you forget the answers to your security questions, the only way to regain access is to call Northwest United at 303-424-5037 to be unenrolled, then you can re-enroll using the same password and recreate your questions.
