OSU Federal is dedicated to protecting your account information. We’ve installed security and intrusion software,

to protect our members. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Website and online banking security

Many precautions help ensure your personal financial information is secure, including:

• Encryption — Our website homepage and online account access are

protected using secure socket layer (SSL) encryption so that you can be sure our website is authentic and protected.

• Member ID and password — Online account access requires a

member ID and password.

• A member ID must be different than your member number, 6-20 characters long, contain a letter and, if you choose, can be enhanced with special characters @ $*-=.!).

• Passwords: must be 8 to 16 characters long; have at least 2 letters; have at least 1 number; have no leading or trailing blanks; are enhanced with non-alphanumeric characters !@#$%^&*()_+{}:”<>?`,./’;][=-\|.

• Enhanced login security — Online account access uses an extra

layer of security that sends you a one-time access code to confirm your identity. Challenge questions and other notifications (text, voice, email) are used to validate your ID when you’re at a public computer.

• Secure email — All email you send to OSU Federal from within

When you’re ready to access your accounts online, open your Internet browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to osufederal.com.

Login

Use your member ID and password to log in.

New users: If you have questions about logging in for the first time, check out our online account access quick start guide on the online account access page at osufederal.com.

Enhanced login security

Enhanced login security is an online security feature that provides an additional layer of protection from fraud and identity theft by preventing unauthorized access to your secure financial information. It allows us to recognize you as the true owner of your account by recognizing your login information and computer.

If you are not set up for login security, you will be presented with the enhanced login security setup screen where you can select your preferred methods of receiving one-time access codes by text message, voice call or email, or gaining access by challenge questions.

Account access

Think of the home page as your money management

control panel, the place where you do your everyday money management tasks quickly and easily, all in one place. In fact, you can do your common daily tasks without leaving the page, including: check account balances, verify recently cleared and pending transactions, transfer money between accounts, review your money-spending trends, and pay bills.

Estatements

The estatements feature saves paper and space in your home or office by allowing you to view and save your statements electronically. This is a great virtual filing system.

Text banking and alerts

Text banking

Text banking makes it easy to access account balances and transactions, right on your mobile phone. It’s the fastest way to get your balances anytime, anywhere. Just text a short command to 454545, and you will quickly receive the information you want.

Text banking is secure

We never send confidential information such as member IDs, passwords or complete account numbers by text. Sign up for text banking on your computer in online account access.

Alerts and notifications

Online account access will allow you to have an email or text sent to you every time your account reaches a specified limit, when a specific check clears or when a payment due date is approaching. The notifications feature will help you stay up-to-date with your finances and personal reminders. To begin, click account access in the navigation bar, then select alerts.

Bill pay

Convenience, plus cost- and time-savings

Bill pay means you don’t have to write checks. You also have the option of receiving your billing statements

electronically. This allows you to access your bills anywhere you have Internet access. You can even set up electronic bill notifications to be sent to your personal email account. To begin, click on bill payment in the navigation bar.

Save time by setting up automatic payments for bills that occur on a regular basis for a specified amount. Access this feature from the Make Payments page within bill pay.

Even after a payment is scheduled you may edit or delete the transaction, up until the day it’s processed. View pending payments from the make payments screen, click edit or cancel.

You can also view your payment history and download or print copies for your records in the view payment history screen.

Get a loan

Get a loan allows you to apply for any personal loan*, while logged into online account access. The loan applications are sent directly to our lending department and you will be contacted by phone after a decision has been made.

FinanceWorks

FinanceWorks is a powerful tool for helping you manage the many details of your day-to-day finances. For example, how much money did you spend on groceries this month? Are you meeting your savings goals? How much did you spend on utilities? By taking advantage of this program you will know the answers to these questions and many more!

NOTE: Gather together the details for each of the accounts that you wish to manage with FinanceWorks.This can include account numbers, IDs and passwords from your financial institution or company’s website. It will also be helpful to have your latest statement available.

The first time you use FinanceWorks, there are two key steps to getting started; adding accounts and setting up your categories. By accessing FinanceWorks from online account access, your account(s) are already accessible by FinanceWorks. If you have an account with one of the 16,000+ other financial institutions offering checking, savings, loans, mortgage, credit cards and/or investment accounts, you can also manage them right here, from FinanceWorks.

The homepage in FinanceWorks will give you a quick

overview of all that FinanceWorks has to offer. Here you can view your account names and balances (with OSU Federal as well as other financial institutions), alerts and reminders, and a glimpse of your budget goals.

FinanceWorks will automatically establish categories for many of the transactions that you make. Just click the transactions tab and you’ll see a register of your recent transactions. Many of your entries will have categories already, however if you’d like to manually choose from the list, just select the item you’d like to edit, click category + Add and choose a new category or create your own. After you have established your categories you can view reports of your account activity by clicking the trends tab. Here you will find charts that show categories, giving you a clear visual of where your money goes.

Turbo Tax

OSU Federal brings you TurboTax

It’s easy during tax season to complete tax forms within the secure environment of online account access — no need for a separate login. Save time with secure, automatic upload of account data. And get step-by-step guidance with easy to understand questions tailored to you. TurboTax saves your progress so you can work at your own pace and skip around your forms as needed. All this, and much more. Just click on the TurboTax tab.

User options

If you need to make changes to your online banking experience, select User options from the navigation bar to update information affecting your session and personal information.

You can change your password, timeout, email address, history date range, history default sort order, start page and more.

Online services

From the online services menu, you have a variety of services, such as the knowledge base or the ability to send and receive secure email.

From online services you can also order checks or manage your OSU Federal Rewards points.
