3. HEALTH & WELLBEING ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK 1. Walk a Mile with a Smile
When you exercise your body releases endorphins, these little chemicals trigger a positive feeling in your body making you feel happier! Getting regular exercise and fresh air is so good for us. What is a mile? Well, you could also walk 1.6 kilometres, but we didn’t have a good rhyme!
2. Healthy Smoothie Recipe
We all know how important a healthy diet is. With the weather getting nice and warm a lovely refreshing smoothie can quench your thirst and you get lots of vitamins and minerals!
Utensils Chopping board Knife Blender Glass Ingredients ½ banana 4 strawberries 1 small orange
1 spoon of yoghurt (Vanilla is my favourite)
A dash of fruit juice (orange or cranberry work well) A splash of water
Method
1. Wash and chop your fruit.
2. Place fruit, yoghurt, water and fruit juice into the blender. 3. Blend until smooth.
4. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
*You can use any fruit or vegetable of your choice, I like to add spinach into mine to make it a REALLY cool green colour.
3. Anyone for yoga!
Boys have a go at these exercises. Yoga is great for strengthening our bodies and also helps us to calm down if we are feeling stressed. I think I’ll be avoiding the one on the right!
