1. GENERAL

Remote Access is a communication device that allows stable and reliable remote control via mobile connection; to intel-ligent climate products and systems, which can facilitate monitoring, confi guration, troubleshooting, service and maintenance.

Examples of products that can be connected to the Remote Access are GOLD, NESTOR, Super WISE, TELLUS and other external equipment with a built-in web server.

2. Function

The remote access is established via the built-in router's mobile connection. The router has a built-in fi rewall. The Remote Access is delivered, pre-confi gured from the fac-tory to use a fi xed public IP-address.

The Remote Access is available in two versions; with one Ethernet port (TBRA-1) for connecting one product, or with seven Ethernet ports (TBRA-7) for connecting up to seven products.

2.1 Subscriptions for mobile connection

Subscriptions for the mobile connection via 3G are han-dled locally on each market. The subscription must be able to use a fi xed public IP-address.

The Remote Access can be confi gured to send a SMS alerts in case of a broken mobile connection.

3. CONNECTION POSSIBILITIES

The following Swegon products are compatible with Remote Access and possible to connect:

• GOLD version D • GOLD version E • Super WISE

• NESTOR (communication with heat pump/chiller) • TELLUS

It is possible to connect other equipment, not supplied by Swegon, as long as it is equipped with a built-in web server.

4. REMOTE ACCESS SETTINGS

A computer with a web browser is required for managing the Remote Access settings. The computer also needs to have support for Java applications to be able to configure the connected Swegon products.

The Remote Access uses mobile connectivity for its remote connection. The climate control system is connected to the Remote Access via Ethernet for further access to each product's web page.

4.1 Configuration

On delivery, the device is configured with a complete range of IP-addresses to be used by connected products. Configu-ration should therefore not be done in the Remote Access, but in each connected product. Each connected product shall be configured for a fixed IP-address and set to use one of the IP-addresses in the range that the device receives.

4.1.1 Connection to a local network (optional)

The Remote Access is possible to connect to a local net-work (e.g. building netnet-work). This requires configurations in the device's router. Please contact Swegon OSS, by phone +46 (0)512-32300, for help.

When connecting to a local network it is important to pay attention to, and ensure the local IT security. A connection made to a local network is done outside the Remote Access and is therefore the local IT-department's responsibility.

4.2 SWEGON BASIC CONFIGURATION

Remote Access is locked on delivery when no further configuration is needed to get operation. This section shows the basic configurations.

4.2.1 LAN

DHCP is enabled and IP Pool Start starts at 192.168.1.20 and ends with 192.168.1.254. Note that the router does not retrieve any IP-address itself via DCHP. See figure 4.

4.2.2 Mobile WAN

The router is configured to send a PING signal to a public server every 8 hours. After three lost PING signals the router reboots. Traffic monitoring is enabled to prevent PING signals from being sent if the mobile connection is ok. See Figure 5.

4.2.3 NAT

The router's external ports 81-96, and the IP-addresses 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.17, are addressed to the internal port 80.

Access to the router is remotely addressed to port 8080. The address to be entered in the web browser is a combination of the mobile connection's fixed public IP-address and the router's port for remote access (e.g.: 85.117.179.8:8080). See Figure 6.

4.2.4 SMS

The router is configured to accept control commands via SMS from any number. See figure 7.

Possible control commands to send via SMS

• "reboot" for rebooting the router

• " get ip" to obtain the Remote Access IP-address • " go offline" to disable gprs-traffic

• " go online" to enable gprs-traffic
