Davidson Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you are well and enjoying the sun as safely as possible. The end of the

academic year is nearing and I am unable to offer you any more news in terms

of re-opening for wider year groups. I have limited staffing and this will not be

possible this academic year.

I am mindful that at this time of year we generally start planning Meet the

Teachers and the children will not have the opportunity to do this as ‘normal’. I

can assure you that the children will be formally introduced to their new

teach-er via newslettteach-er in the next couple of weeks.

As always, thank you to all the parents and children who are persevering with

the home learning and continuing to send the teachers their work. It makes us

very happy that you continue to work hard, extend your learning and develop

new skills.

I would like to say a huge thank you to my admin team: Ms Deronjic, Mrs Haq

and Miss Thompson. These hardworking individuals do so much behind the

scenes to keep the school going, their hard work is so very much valued and

appreciated.

Have a lovely weekend.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Begum

The Leaving year 6’s

The leaving year 6’s,

The leaving year 6’s,

Why must they all go?

Well, I say:

Nothing lasts forever,

And this is no exception

So,

We must be strong from within,

And sing a song that will surely raise your chin:

Oh leaving year 6’s,

Oh leaving year 6’s,

Please don’t go,

But I simply say,

“No. No. No.

We mustn’t cry,

We mustn’t cry,

We just have to say our goodbyes.

And instead, we must smile because it happened,

And laugh because we enjoyed our time.”

SILVER BIRCH CLASS

Secondary School

Now I am older I am moving on

Primary school has come and gone

I’m sad to leave and happy to go

That’s what happens when you grow!

I’m leaving behind the old school yard

But it won’t be so very hard

Cause at my newly built new school

There’s a roof top pitch—oh so cool!

Friends may come and friends may go

But there is one thing that I know

Different schools is not a threat

We’ll stay in touch with the internet!
