1. Performs periodic physical inspection of pupils and students and keeps record of findings. 2. Refers cases to physicians.

3. Treats minor ailments and gives first aid treatment in the clinic. 4. Maintains a functional school clinic

5. Checks on the proper sanitation and healthful living conditions of the school and community 6. Gives advice and guidance on health and sanitation

7. Assists the physician in clinic work

8. Acts as resource person or consultant on health matters

9. Participates in meetings/conferences and other health and nutrition related activities

10. Implements health education programs such as health promotion and disease prevention activities 11. Looks into the sanitation of the lunch counter and the selection, preparation and serving of food
