1 upload speed
1 use of own cable modem, instead of the only one available for use
1 whole package
1 Competitive pricing. The cable company has a monopoly on the fastest services, and the consumers lose.
1 I would like to see pricing structure reflect the quality of the service I receive (e.g., rate increases correspond to a perceptible improvement in speed/reliability)
1 Switch to fiber optic, and release the privatized hold on cable infrastructure so that one provider doesn't have the capability to keep other providers out of town.
1 I would like to see an incentive to update and improve outdated infrastructure. My Internet connection is frequently lost due to older cables, and the property manager will not permit the provider (Comcast) to drill holes in order to update their equipment. 1 Affordability. I would love to have a landline AND internet that doesn't freeze, drop out, or get spotty. I couldn't care less about
having cable TV.
1 Consistent high speed. Mostly the speed is sufficient, but at times the speed goes way down and my Rokus don't work. 1 Reliability - Internet that is not consistently out. Affordability - Internet that does not cost an arm and a leg.
1 Faster speeds and customer service reps who don't treat everyone like an idiot. im sick of Comcast trouble shooting asking if I unplugged the router when that is the first thing to do. also when doing an installation or repair making me take a day off work and not showing up.
1 Just higher speeds and reliability for wifi bands. Constantly goes out and download/upload speeds are awful for high traffic servers in employment and home. Fiber is what we need
1 Faster speeds for less money. If I was in a different country in Europe or Asia my $80 would buy me 500mb service where here it buys me 50mb service. The price to speed ratio is horrible.
1 Better upload speeds and more options (outside of simple up/down packages) such as static IP...etc.
1 Comcast should top taking away channels that I've been paying for and moving them to other service tiers that require me to pay MORE for what I had been getting.
1 Internet speed. The ability to pay for high speed internet service without a requisite bundling with a crappy cable TV service. 1 I mostly would like to be able to shop different options. I feel for high-speed internet, which I do not consider DSL, Comcast has
a monopoly in this area. I work from home sometimes and I need a reliable, fast internet connection and Comcast appears to be my only option. I don't particularly like them for various reasons (poor customer service, high prices, etc.) but feel I have no choice but to go with them.
1 Elimination of 'throttling' of competing services (Netflix, etc.) Improved bandwidth during 'peak' hours
1 I only pay for Internet which I use to stream music, tv, video and play online games. I often am doing multiple things at once, so, reliability and download/upload speed is the most important to me. I also prefer for the monthly fee to be less expensive. 1 I would like higher reliability, nicer customer service, and to pay less for higher speed. I don't care much about TV at all, and for
telephone we make a lot of international calls and likely wouldn't switch from our current provider.
1 Municipal fiber internet please! Please make this happen for our city. If not municipal, a provider that provides fiber to the home for the whole city. Please.
1 Reliability; no artificial caps. Secure login/payment pages (no ads on login, customer information, payment pages).
1 Consistency. It seems that our connection speeds frequently drop during the evening hours, when many of our neighbors are online as well. Some of this may not be avoidable, but surely providers can do better.
1 More reliability (less latency). Higher speed, and lower cost. Prefer it to be a utility since the current ISP's aren't progressing our internet quality like other countries.
1 TV section is poor, the price is high, and the requirement for cable boxes that they charge for (and I have to pay for the electricity to operate them) is frustrating. Additionally, you have to pay to get HD service, and for those TVs you don't get an HD box, the pictures are truncated. Before they encrypted the channels, the local channels appeared in HD format.
1 I would like to see an increase in internet providers that provide high speed (100+ mbps) Internet, with better customer service, and that is reliable.
1 A competitor next to comcast. We can only use comcast north Fort collins and the prices and service are terrible. It would be awesome to have more choose in providers
1 all this is pretty good with Comcast....hated Century Link. it is cell phone reception that stinks in our area 1 My internet is spotty and unreliable. I want high speed internet at a reasonable price and no limit on usage.
1 Less outages during periods of construction, and less hassles trying to convince the provider that they do indeed have a problem. I shouldn't have to get on Twitter to read tweets from my neighbors to validate outages.
1 I would like to see CenturyLink bring faster speeds to my neighborhood. Currently, I get 12mbps downstream and 0.7mbps upstream. I have a family friend that lives less than a mile away from me and he gets 40mbps downstream and 5mbps upstream from CenturyLink.
1 my service is slowed depending on how many people are on line. I am afraid to complain because I feel they would make my service worse just out of spite.
1 Service that does not require high maintenance. Service that is easy to use, and easier to operate. Customer service reps that are reachable and not automated.
1 Customer service first and foremost. We pay a considerable amount, in my opinion, for very basic level of service from Comcast. However, we have never had a good experience with Comcast when we've needed help. They are also a very unreliable service. We have constant outages and network congestion issues. I love the service we get from Fort Collins electric Department and Water Department. It would be nice to have something similar for Internet.
1 Pick and choose which TV channels I can purchase...i.e. al le carte. Cheaper internet and cheaper TV
1 High speed and reliable internet and good customer service.Had so much bad experience with the two monopolies of Internet provider in the area --centurylink and Comcast. Can't wait to have our own city run service!
1 #1 - Customer service #2 - speed to price ratio #3 - uncoupling of services (i.e., Internet alone)
1 I would like service from a provider who cares and isn't out to nickel and dime their users on things like service calls and technical support.
1 True network neutrality, no paid prioritization of traffic, and no throttling online video services.
1 Faster speed at a slightly lower price. Also no data caps on usage. Comcast doesn't impose these yet but they do elsewhere and I'm sure it will be coming soon enough.
1 Increased upstream and downstream speeds for the price. It is well understood that hardware and costs are not the obstacle, but rather a conscious decision to simply profit as much as possible given the lack of competition and impossible hurdles for competitors to enter the market.
1 Well, with Xfinity, i would like to see them improve on their time on getting to an appointment even when they get a 3rd party to do it! Plus, to listen to their customers when it comes to tv channels as well. Since Xfinity has NOT added any new channels or made available any of the movie channels in HD! Their customer service really could use another training!
1 Price of living is TOO high in Fort Collins. I have an office job where we do not receive cost of living raises, however Fort Collins' prices are out of control. Price can be the most improved.
1 For cable TV and internet would like for it to be reliable and functioning when I want to use it. Would like a customer service dept that actually provides service and is not located in some other country where they don't really understand what the problem is and always tells the customer that the problem is caused by them not the company.
1 I wish I could have basic cable in HD (to watch live sports) and super fast internet, at an affordable price ($50 or less per month).
1 I don't want to be spending almost $100 a month paying for a cable service that I don't use. It was cheaper to bundle than to get straight internet. All I want is high speed internet.
1 Customer service and speed. Fiber optic broadband would be great but I would settle for respectable customer service and reliable speeds.
1 Consistent Internet access, fast speed. better and easier accessed customer service. Ability to choose channels without paying a lot. We like about 10 channels and could care less about the other 100.
1 A service provider who would take ownership of the speed of my Internet service *not* just to the the cable modem but to the modem *and* for the final output of my wireless router. Currently, Comcast will *not* take responsibility for the speed delivered to the modem *and* for the speed of the output side of the wireless router. For me, this means I get (and pay for) 50 mbps delivered to my modem but even with a new, quality wireless router with a PC just a few feet away from the router, typical speed "yield" is about 25 mbps. It would be really nice if a service provider would only charge me for the "net yield" through the wireless router.
1 I would love to see cost and quality of internet service improved. I am satisfied with local phone options and do not want cable tv.
1 Reliability. Dropped connections are a daily occurrence. Cost. Although I've dropped cable TV and significantly reduced the cost of Internet, I think it will just keep going up.
1 Would love to see fiber broadband service at a reasonable rate. We pay a lot for the same kind of service people in Europe and Asia pay a fraction for.
1 Lower prices and better connection. Prices that don't jump suddenly without warning. Updated equipment.
1 Somewhere who answers the phone and follows up quickly on the fix. Comcast often lets you wait a long time to speak to a service rep and then they often hav to transfer you to another and in the transfer lose the connection. Maddening. Short answer, customer service
1 A more reliable, high-speed internet service with pricing and plans comparable to the service actually received/delivered 1 Just about every aspect of my current service could be improved. First and formost would be that Comcast does not care one
single bit about their customers. Once i signed the contract the customer service quality plummeted. More than anything though the speed of my internet is not even close to what they advertise and promise to their customers. My internet is not much faster than I was 10 years ago but because there is little accountability in the industry and an environment that does not foster competition. I am the one who suffers a poor high costs and bad service while Comcast makes record profits and wants to destroy net neutrality, which would make my internet experience even poorer. I would like to see accountability from my provider but there is a reason they are the most hated company in America and I have little faith that they will change. 1 There is almost no actual choice in terms of service. CenturyLink offers terrible speeds and has awful reliability and customer
service. FRII's home service is through CenturyLink. Baja Broadband also uses the same lines that CenturyLink does. Rise / Skylink can't get to a number of places in town. Comcast is the best option, and while it's fairly reliable, the pricing is variable and high.
1 Internet needs to be more reliably provided at the speeds you pay for. Often we paid for one level and got much lower than that. 1 A more reliable network that is not dependent on bundling with other services that I do not use for a fair price.
1 Alot cheaper and faster and provided for the whole Apt or Houses as expensive having to buy or rent different equipment! Also doesnt always work good either!
1 Reliable/adequately fast internet service and more reasonable prices (I pay $40/month for 12Mbps, but actually only ever get around 2.5Mbps download speed)
1 More competition, faster internet, more internet provider options/ competition, more cable internet options - Comcast is unacceptable.
1 My cellular provider serves me quite well! That is why I am considering discontinuing home phone line, and have already cut my cord to TV and Broadband, which I purchase both voice and data for a YEAR at $110. Beat that.
1 I would like to see reliable high (faster) speed internet service available. Right now I feel that our service options are not competitive / appealing.
1 The cell service off of South Harmony is terrible. I only get service in my apartment off of Lady Moon Drive because I have internet in my apartment and I can connect to wifi calling. Because it's a dead zone I would like to see more internet option available. Right now, when I leave my home I will go from having wifi from my apartment to not being able to connect by merely walking to the parking lot.
1 I live in the outer fringe area of NW Fort Collins. Our cable TV is both above and below ground and is not reliable. Every time we have snow or rain, our signal breaks up making TV & Internet unreliable. I lived elsewhere in the city and the cables were all below ground and much more reliable.
1 Would like to see service offerings in Fort Collins from Mean Servers (Denver based ISP) or at least peered with Fort Collins. 1 Better prices and selection of services/TV channels. (Speed seems acceptable for my uses, but this could also quickly
become a top priority.)
1 Increased internet speed. It drives me nuts how slow Comcast is....I can barely download movies. Cable is too expensive and I'd like to select my channels that I watch most. Phone is just ok.
1 I would like to see a service provider whose business practices do not border on criminal (CenturyLink and Comcast).
1 Reliability. Consistent pricing (rather than so many introductory and other offers--internet service is not easily changed; often an area only has one or two viable choices). I would like to have consistent internet service without a price to match all other utilities combined.
1 Value. Though the service and speed is decent it costs too much and Comcast continually tries to raise the rates.
1 I do not like Comcast's pricing strategy and how complicated it is to understand what I'm paying for. A flat fee for each level of service with a consistent rate year over with no introductory rates is much preferred.
1 De-coupling of the bundles. I would rather just have high speed internet, but Comcast fees for internet alone are very high. 1 Better provider selection, lower prices, higher speeds. Like, you know, a competitive market might produce.
1 Choice in channels, pay as you go options, customer service, no gimmicks, option to help support low income family access. 1 Not having to repeatedly call on a regular basis to renegotiate rates which increase every month, it seems like.
1 Straightforward reasonable pricing, reliable service i.e. Internet speeds that consistently meet their advertised rate 1 Better price for what we are receiving or better speed and reliability for what we are paying. Better customer service. 1 Not pay for channels that I never watch, such as Spanish, and be able to select my channels vs select from what packages
company has to offer offered.
1 I'd like caller ID on any phone call received. I'd like a cable package that doesn't include a lot of programming I'm not interested in and don't want.
1 I would like to have a low cost fiber internet option. I would also like to have more choices of internet provider. I currently only have on option. There is no competition for providers and consumers are suffering as a result.
1 Reliable internet speed and price both need to be improved. I only want internet, not cable TV, so I think the pricing is extremely unreasonable. Any call to customer service makes me so furious that I search for options and am frustrated that there are none.
1 I would like to see continual broadband internet speed increases as technology capabilities improve. I don't care about cable TV or local phone service at all. These are past technologies that a strong broadband connection solves.
1 Internet in Fort Collins is slow and expensive. The price and speeds need to significantly improve; otherwise we will no longer be competitive in the global marketplace.
