WHAT IS ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE?

THE INTRODUCTION OF AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE IN THE BANK IMPLIES IMPLEMENTATION

OF BUSINESS PROCESSES WITHOUT USING PAPER, IN WHICH AN ELECTRONIC

DOCUMENT IS GENERATED BOTH FOR THE BANK AND CUSTOMER AND IS CONFIRMED

BY AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE.

BANK REPUBLIC HAS AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE THAT MEETS INTERNATIONAL SECURITY STANDARDS AND:

- Is linked only to the signatory;

- Allows to identify the signatory;

- During signing process, the signatory is provided with max. credibility to carry out sole control over the signature.

LEGAL ASPECTS OF ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE

- In accordance with a respective law, an electronic signature and standard signature shall have equal legal force.

- An electronic signature raises the same rights and responsibilities as a handwritten signature made on a standard document.

- It is possible to establish authenticity of an electronic signature and identify a signature through an independent expertise bureau.

- The document confirmed by an electronic signature is the original (original) document, while a printed document is a copy of the electronic document.

Bank Republic has introduced internationally recognized security standards, which ensure the highest level of security for customers and make it impossible to use an electronic signature on other documents.

An electronic signature creation device used in the zone controlled by the bank makes sure the biometric data of the signatory are reliably connected to the document to be signed, while the document integrity is secured by a

signature created by a digital certificate.

1 RECEIVING AND USING AN ELECTRONICALLY SIGNED DOCUMENT

In order to receive the original copy of an electronically signed document you will receive from the Bank an SMS notification with the following data:

- Document ID;

- Password.

After receiving the notification, visit the portal developed by the National Bank of Georgia

http://www.esds.com.ge/

, from which electronic document may be downloaded within 5 calendar days.
