9 objects in 8 different places.
A project about transformation and what becomes visible when something disappears. I buried 9 objects made out of degradable fabric and polyester thread in 8 different places. Under ideal conditions the fabric disappears within 3 month. Approximately every 3 weeks I go back to each object, unearth, observe and document it and put it back into the earth.
Sometimes I go alone on these journeys, sometimes in company.
I write texts, make next works based on the documentary material I accumulate, organise talks with people whos practice is linked to my undertaking, give prints away for free and let the project grow by itself far beyond what I expected.
The project was so far made public during the symposium TRANSVALUATION at spatial installation at Corner College, Zurich.

The places I‘ve chosen for burying the geological-temporal properties. For instance, one of the 9 objects is buried in the Val de Travers (JU, Swit-zerland) next to a now closed asphalt exportet asphalt world wide. The very covered with asphalt from the Valde Travers. Even further back in time, asphalt was also used by the Ancient Egyptiens to cover their mummies with.
Another one lays in Marmorera (GR, whos dam wall was built right above basalt that came into being when there was still the Tethys sea. This sea got his name from the Greek godess Thetys. And when you look closely to the nearby rock face you can see a watchtower from the early Middle Age.
The chosen places are multilayered spaces of time. Collages and
eclipsing images give me a possibility to transform temporal dimensions into images.
