Our philosophy of teamwork and attention to detail has enabled the company to prosper and enjoy a long list of repeat clients. All of our employees are dedicated to the same goal - customer satisfaction. To achieve that success, we have built into our construc-tion management philosophy a series of checks and balances to ensure each project progresses on schedule and within budget. Our claim to fame is quite simple. Since our inception we have completed over 2,500 construction projects without missing a budget or schedule.
Customer satisfaction is our number one goal and we have developed a solid reputation for achieving that goal. We have a list of satisfied clients with over 75% of our construc-tion volume each year coming from repeat clients. They will tell you “Hawkins does what they say they will do.”
The Hawkins Total Management Team is fully involved on every project from start-up through completion by communicating regularly to ensure a project starts on the right track and stays there to its successful delivery to the client.
LEED-Accredited Professionals
Our commitment to the environment includes a respect for the communities and ecosystems we build in. We are continually seeking ways to save energy, improve efficiency, reduce waste and use sustainable principles as our guide to construc-tion. We encourage our clients to make reductions wherever practical in our consumption of energy, fuel, water and material. Some practices that are easily integrated into projects are:
• Building new stores that are more energy-efficient than existing stores • Reducing energy consumption in existing stores
• Minimizing water use while still maintaining the highest standards of sanita-tion and food safety.
• Evaluating the use and sale of alternative fuels wherever practical
We also recommend options for the reduction, reuse, and recycling of materials such as:
• Recycling store-generated material destined for landfills
• Working with our suppliers to reduce materials, promote reusable and recycla-ble materials, and increase the use of recycled content where practical

Bishop Larkin Catholic School
Port Richey, Florida—This simple but aesthetically pleasing 43,000 SF elementary school for the Diocese of St. Peters-burg provides an economical school facility for elementary, middle, and day school functions. Constructed using the Construction Management Team Approach with Alexander and Associates, this project team was able to maximize its "bang for the buck.”
A project design was created that incorporates high quality and durable construction materials and methods into a highly functioning facility. This was realized at costs well below what the public sector typically pays for facilities of this caliber. This project has since been used on several other projects as a prototype design scheme.
Notre Dame Inter-parochial School
Spring Hill, Florida—This project was constructed for the Diocese of St. Petersburg using the Construction Manage-ment delivery system. It encompassed a 17,000 SF multi-purpose building and a 13,000 SF classroom facility. During construction an adjacent elementary and middle school held classes. Care and concern for the safety of the pupils were of the highest priority. The extensive pre-construction services yielded high quality construction such as copper gutters and down spouts, while maintaining a tight budget. Over 90 value-engineering alternates were ad-dressed, in which over 30 were incorporated into the contract documents.
Tampa Catholic High School
Tampa, Florida— The Science and Technology Center is a High-Tech, 16,875 SF facility that was constructed for the Diocese of St. Petersburg using the Construc-tion Management delivery system.
It includes the Physics and Biology Departments, Computer Science labs, Media Center and offices. In addition, Hawkins reconfigured the main parking lot, con-structed a new Chapel and Palm Court in the Center of campus, and coordinated the relocation of student parking.
All of this took place in the middle of an active High School Campus where the safety of students and faculty was a top priority at all times.
The Learning Center
Jacksonville, Florida Hawkins was selected to construct two new, 10,000 SF Learning Experience Academies for early education. The Learning Experience centers offer contemporary school designs, combined with the best from the fields of learning, early education and development, technology, ergonomics and environmental design.
