Boq “Miss Galinda –– I know I’m just a mere Munchkin. But even a Munchkin has feelings! A timid munchkin and hopelessly in love with Glinda, Boq is a genuinely good man who gets manipulated into a situation that he cannot get out of. By the end of the show his gentle and caring nature has transformed into bitter resentment.
The actor playing Boq should be short…(ish).
Casting Age: 20+
Tenor/Baritone
Nessarose “Oh, Elphaba, shut up…! You fly around Oz, trying to rescue animals you’ve never met –– and not once have you ever thought to use your powers to rescue me!”
Nessarose is Elphaba’s younger sister. She is beautiful but confined to her wheelchair. Nessarose is embarrassed by Elphaba at the beginning of Act One but this embarrassment is tempered by the guilt she feels because her father loves her and not Elphaba. Like Boq, Nessarose’s sweetness is transformed to bitter resentment.
